#3 The Twilight Zone Movie Tragedy and Trial – Have you ever seen the 1983 film Twilight Zone: The Movie? I did but not inside the cinema. I previously blogged about retrospective videos about it. The movie was an ambitious revival of The Twilight Zone franchise and among the directors who worked on it (note: the film had short stories) were Steven Spielberg and John Landis. The movie was mired in strong controversy due to the tragedy that happened in Landis’ segment starring Vic Morrow who died along with two minors her carried with him. Not only did deaths and injuries happen, there were also some violations of established laws committed. #4 Trump confronts the wicked United Nations and other evil stakeholders – Recently US President Donald Trump spoke to the members of the wicked United Nations in their building in New York City. He bravely confronted the many evil stakeholders there – the Islamo-Leftists, the socialists, the terrorist-loving members, the illegal immigration advocates and climate change zealots – and spoke the truth that they refused to realize. #5 Top Secret! revisited – While the 1984 ZAZ comedy Top Secret! never came close to achieving the success and impact of 1980’s Airplane!, the movie still went on to entertain others who were born after it was released. Top Secret! is also the cinematic debut of the late Val Kilmer and it was an early showcase of his artistry and creativity. That being said, it is not surprising that there are lots of reaction videos of Top Secret! on YouTube and I found three entertaining videos for you to enjoy. Watch the videos below.

I am not a fan of Krull but it still is entertaining to watch again from time to time. One of things I like the most about it is the fact that its visual effects involved practical effects as well as optical effects. The cinematography of real-life locations remains very pleasing to the eye which makes the film a lively reminder that computer-generated imagery (CGI) will never match the detail, scale and beauty of location shooting. When it comes to the cast of the film, Ken Marshall plays a likable hero and the supporting cast include a very young Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane.

This past weekend, national triathlete Kira Ellis achieved tremendous honor for the Philippines by winning the gold in the 2025 Europe Triathlon Junior Cup held at Riga, Latvia, according to a Manila Bulletin sports news report.
For the newcomers reading this, Kira Ellis came back from injury and was sidelined for several months which makes her victory in Latvia even more special not only for her career but for the entire nation. It should be recalled that she was the champion in the 2024 Asia Triathlon Junior Cup. To see the official race results of this past weekend’s event, click here.

Triathlete Kira Ellis lived up to her lofty billing as she captured the Junior Women crown in the 2025 Europe Triathlon Cup in Riga, Latvia over the weekend.
Despite being the lone Filipina and Asian in the class, Ellis, 18, impressed and timed in one hour, five minutes, and seven seconds in the 750m-swim, 22km-bike, and 5.1km-run event to outshine 15 other foreign rivals.
It was also a sort of stellar comeback for Ellis who suffered a shin splint (medial tibial stress syndrome) that sidelined her for six months.
The feat just added to Ellis’ trophy collection that includes golds in 2024 Asia Triathlon Junior Cup in Malaysia and in 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

#1 Ashleigh Burton reacts to Octopussy – As a young boy, I first saw the 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy on home video. Starring Roger Moore, the movie has Agent 007 on another wild adventure facing off with a Soviet Union general and the exiled Afghan prince. With a notable part of the film shot on location in India, Octopussy’s action and stunt scenes looked exotic and sometimes comical. #2 Trump crushes the European Union and wins big for America – After executing the greatest comeback ever, US President Donald Trump’s winning streak of achievements continued as he scored big for the Americans by crushing the corrupted European Union (EU). Not only did American win over the EU on trade, Trump slammed Europe’s approach on migration as well as their renewable energy policies in front of the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. #3 Slope’s Game Room examines Theme Park – While I played a lot of video games and computer games through the decades, I never had the chance to play the 1994 game Theme Park. Developed by Bullfrog Productions, Theme Park is a simulation game in which players get to construct an amusement park and manage it with the goal of attracting visitors, making profit and expanding globally. #4 Popcorn in Bed reacts to Jaws 2 – Recently the Canadian YouTuber Popcorn in Bed posted her reaction video of Jaws 2. A sequel to Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws, the 1978 movie had Roy Scheider as the star again but he and director Jeannot Szwarc had conflicts behind the scenes and the production was troublesome. Having seen all Jaws movies, I can say that Jaws 2 had a lot of creative elements common with slasher horror movies. That being said, the way this movie drew reactions from Popcorn in Bed is a must-see.
#5 Japan’s authorities react to troublesome foreigners and tourists from overseas – There is no denying that Japan is a great place to visit and explore. As a young man, I toured Japan twice (in 1996 and 1997) and I can say that the travel experience is tremendous. In today’s age of social media and people having their own smartphones, Japan continues to attract even more visitors from around the world and the sad thing is that there are troublesome or disrespectful foreigners who arrived as well. Now the authorities are making adjustments in reaction. Watch and learn from the video of Asian Route below. Also, remember to respect the rules and the locals in every country you visit.
Greece, a nation with a population of over ten million people, has had enough with the influx of illegal migrants and they took action to control the border to protect both their sovereignty and their citizens. Officially there has been a freeze on asylum processes (for the next three months) and many foreigners who arrived on Greece’s shores were detained.
If you were not able to receive this particular news, then I’m not surprised because Islamo-Leftist mainstream news media outlets (the ones who favored illegal immigrants and open borders) refused to report about it. For some time already, a lot of people from the Middle East and north Africa crossed the seas to reach the shores of Greece to enter Europe. The government of Greece has had enough and they started the changes a few months prior which explains their recent action against illegal migrants. For the newcomers reading this, gangs of violent migrants caused chaos in Spain weeks ago. Clearly Greece does not want such tragedies to happen in their country.
By pushing back against illegal immigrants, Greece itself is facing renewed opposition from those who support illegal immigration and the foreigners’ so-called rights. Watch and learn from the DW News video below.

Lastly, United States President Donald Trump spoke out against illegal immigration (plus renewable energy) in Europe right in front of the President of the European Commission of the corrupted European Union (EU). It is clear that America under Trump secured their border with Mexico and they have been working hard to not only prevent illegal crossings but also go after the illegal immigrants and illegal aliens who are already in the country. Trump has solid results against illegal immigration with him and it would be great if the nations of Europe would be inspired to become tougher to secure their borders and protect the citizens. While Spain and other nations of Europe are struggling with the high number of illegal migrants and foreign nationals who keep on trespassing into their respective territories, the Philippines deported more than one thousand four hundred foreigners in the first half of 2025 over a series of violations of immigration law, according to a news article by the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The number of foreign nationals who were deported during the first half of the year doubled compared to last year, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Friday.
According to Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, data from the bureau’s deportation and implementation unit (DIU) revealed that a total of 1,422 foreign nationals were deported due to immigration violations during the period. The BI recorded 717 deportees during the same period in 2024.
Chinese nationals topped the list with 957, followed by 231 Vietnamese, 41 South Koreans, 41 Malaysians, and 37 Burmese.
Viado said majority of the deportations were foreigners found to be illegally working in Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) in the country despite the ban.
“Our strengthened deportation protocols follow the directive of the President to act swiftly and remove foreigners who abuse our people’s hospitality. We will continue expediting the deportation of foreign nationals who violate our laws,” the BI chief added in a statement.
The BI earlier reported improvements in deportation protocols, including fast-tracking clearances in partnership with the National Bureau of Investigation, immediate resolution of cases suspected to be filed under the ‘demanda me’ scheme, regular coordination with embassies for swift issuance of travel documents, and opening of a new holding facility for arrested aliens.Meanwhile, Viado also reported the arrest on July 22 of two Sudanese nationals found to be undocumented in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

Wherever you are located in, I encourage you to imagine what would happen to your country and your local community if ever a massive amount of foreigners entered your country as immigrants or as refugees.
Each and every nation has its own sovereignty, its own people, its own heritage and its own culture and sub-cultures to protect. If you are living with a government that does not care about citizens like yourselves, then you are in potential trouble already. Mass migration and violent foreigners could spark a riot and harm you and your family when you least expect it. You need to be careful, be vigilant and observe how your government deals with foreign migrants and the so-called refugees.
I myself never visited Spain but when I was in Italy and France more than twenty years ago, I personally discovered the culture and heritage of the Italians and the French in each visit. There were foreign tourists and some foreign workers here and there, but there were no violent migrant gangs back then. That being said, I enjoyed the peace of Italy and France and touring around was both enlightening and enjoyable. I also admired the way the Italians and the French local authorities managed their local societies.

An online debate has erupted on social media as users wonder why the Philippines, with its rich nature, culture, and cuisine, is being overlooked by foreign tourists in favor of destinations like Vietnam and Thailand.
Thea Tan, a Filipino, posted on her X account in May expressing frustration over the Philippines’ underwhelming tourism numbers despite offering what other countries dream of: breathtaking beaches, vibrant culture, incredible food, and the warmest locals.
“So, why are tourists still choosing Thailand, Vietnam, and Bali over us?” she asked.
The post quickly went viral, accumulating over 9,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
In the first quarter of the year, Malaysia topped the list of most-visited Southeast Asian countries, with 10.1 million arrivals, followed by Thailand (9.55 million), Vietnam (6 million), and Singapore (4.3 million). By April, the Philippines had only welcomed 2.1 million visitors.
In 2024, the country saw 5.9 million foreign tourists, falling short of the government’s target of 7.7 million and far behind its regional neighbors including Cambodia, which had 6.7 million visitors.
Many online users, like Tan, argue that the Philippines is not considered a top priority destination in ASEAN.
“We are tiring out tourists with poor infrastructure and complicated transportation,” Tan noted.
Even locals find domestic travel expensive and difficult, let alone for foreign visitors, according to comments on the post.
“The Philippines has beautiful beaches, delicious food, and friendly people, but it lacks roads, reliable airports, and public transportation. Most importantly, the prices here are too high,” one local shared.
Another netizen pointed out, “In all the countries you’ve mentioned, their capitals are also tourist destinations. Manila, on the other hand, is boring for tourists. We don’t have decent museums or historical tours, and moving around in Manila is not easy either.”
A netizen added, “The government isn’t investing in quality tourist facilities and infrastructure like our neighboring countries. That’s where we’re lagging behind.“
Recently, the Philippines was ranked as the most dangerous destination by U.K. financial comparison site HelloSafe in a survey dismissed by the Philippines’ tourism experts as biased and misleading.
Victor Lim, president of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that the Philippines must improve its infrastructure and enhance safety measures to establish itself as a leading tourist destination in Southeast Asia, Philstar reported.

As some of you are already aware, I fully stand with Israel which is very connected with my uncompromising faith in the Lord. I keep on praying to Him for Israel to overwhelm its enemies, rescue the hostages and recover from the effects of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks committed by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. I can assure all of you that nobody from the evil Islamo-Leftist mob, nobody from the pro-Palestine radicals, nobody from the terrorist leadership of Iran and nobody from any evil society would stop me from supporting and loving Israel.

It has been days since the war between Israel and the terrorist state of Iran started. This is a war that did not just start out of the blue. In reality, it has been building up for a very long time going back to the aftermath of the 1979 Iranian revolution when the Ayatollah and his henchmen came to power. Iran drastically changed into what is now an Islamic state driven by an evil ideology that includes genocide (including the annihilation of Israel and Western democracy), hatred, violence and terrorism.
No matter what the Islamists, the Leftists and their mainstream news media partners-in-crime (read: Reuters, Associated Press, and Agence France-Presse) say, it cannot be denied that Iran is a terrorist state and their leaders and officials chanted “Death to America”, “Death to Israel” and “Death to England” so many times through the years. Iran also brutalized Iranian civilians who refused to be part of their culture of terrorism.
Along the way, Iran had been lying to the whole world as they kept moving forward with their uranium enrichment program and nuclear projects which were designed for mass destruction, not for energy. Given how hateful and evil Iran’s government really is, they should never be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
That being said, Israel launched a series of strategic aerial attacks in Iran hitting military facilities, nuclear sites and government facilities. Israel is at conflict with the Ayatollah-led government and not the civilians of Iran. In fact, Israel’s assault against Iran is meant to bring down the wicked regime and pave the way for millions of Iran to become free and hopefully move their nation towards Democracy. Israel is also doing the world a favor as Iran intends to be able to fire weapons of mass destruction (WMD) at Europe, Africa and even America.

#3 PatmanQC examines Sega’s Star Wars arcade games – Still on the topics of Star Wars and retro gaming, I enjoyed watching another video from YouTuber PatmanQC focused on the Star Wars arcade games released by Sega. For the newcomers reading this, a lot of licensed video games of Star Wars got released from varied companies through the decades.
