Trump and Takaichi Reaffirm US-Japan Alliance in Tokyo

United States President Donald Trump and new Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae met in Tokyo yesterday and officially America and Japan reaffirmed its alliance, according to the English news report of NHK and other sources.

For the newcomers reading this, Takaichi was recently elected as the new Prime Minister of Japan while Trump arrived from Malaysia where he presided the formal signing of a peace declaration between Thailand and Cambodia, and reached trade agreements with some Southeast Asian nations. Trump and Takaichi both attended the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia.

Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae and US President Donald Trump are taking part in a series of talks and appearances during their first summit in Tokyo.

Takaichi welcomed Trump at the State Guest House in Tokyo Tuesday morning. They received a salute from a ceremonial guard of honor with Japan’s Self-Defense Forces. Soon after, the two leaders sat down for their first face-to-face meeting.

Takaichi said, “I am determined to restore Japan’s dynamic diplomacy to protect Japanese national interests. I am ready to promote further collaboration between Japan and the United States toward our shared goal of achieving a free and open Indo-Pacific. I want to realize a new golden age of our Japan-US alliance in which both nations become stronger and more prosperous.“

Trump said, “I have always had a great love of Japan and a great respect of Japan, and I will say that this will be a relationship that will be stronger than ever before, and I look forward to working with you and on behalf of our country. I want to just let you know anytime you have any questions, any doubt, anything you want, any favors you need, anything I can do to help Japan, we will be there, we are an ally at the strongest level.”

The two leaders have signed documents to cement a deal reached as a result of tariff talks.

Trump meets abductee families – After the meeting, Trump met families of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea.

He said, “I met the families before, and I’m with them all the way, and the US is with them all the way, and with Japan and the prime minister.“

Trump also said he’s had the issue in mind since meeting late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. He told the families the US will do everything in its power to help.

Japan’s government says at least 17 Japanese nationals were kidnapped by North Korean agents in the 1970s and ’80s. Five of them returned in 2002, but what happened to a dozen others remains unknown.

Takaichi seeks to strengthen security, economic ties with US – Ahead of the meeting on Tuesday morning, Takaichi wrote on X that she is looking forward to “having a fruitful discussion on how we can further strengthen our great Alliance.”

Trump has complained that the burden for security shouldered by US allies is insufficient. The measures include revising three national security documents, including the National Security Strategy, by the end of next year.

Japan had been aiming to increase defense spending and related expenditures to two percent of the GDP in fiscal 2027. Takaichi will likely tell Trump that Japan will instead achieve that goal in the current fiscal year.

Takaichi wants to use the occasion to build a personal relationship with Trump. She is also hoping to enhance bilateral cooperation across a wide range of fields, including security and economy.

NCRPO Apprehends Two Suspects And Seizes Illegal Drugs Worth Over P1 Million In Parañaque City

Recently in the city of Parañaque, two suspects were apprehended and over P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) which pulled off a successful buy-bust operation, according to a news report by the Daily Tribune.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested two drug suspects tagged as newly identified high-value individuals in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay San (Dionisio), Parañaque City on Friday night.

Arrested during the operation were identified only by the alias Gie, 37; and alias Jefrey, 27–both residents of Parañaque City. The two suspects were identified as newly listed high-value individuals.

The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price value of P1,020,000.

The two suspects were apprehended around 9 p.m. in front of McDonald’s along Quirino Avenue, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

Seized from alias Gie were approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, one white long envelope, one LG keypad cellular phone, and buy-bust money. Meanwhile, 50 grams of suspected shabu were seized from alias Jefrey.

The total estimated weight of the seized illegal drugs amounted to 150 grams, with an approximate street value of P1,020,000.

Have you been searching for something fun or interesting to watch on YouTube? Do you feel bored right now and you crave for something to see on the world’s most popular online video destination?

#1 Lost Odyssey Revisited – Back in 2008, I played Lost Odyssey on my Xbox 360 console and it was my most anticipated game of the time as I enjoyed playing Final Fantasy role-playing games (RPGs) on different consoles several years prior. In my experience, Lost Odyssey truly is a Final Fantasy game without the name and it remains an Xbox 360-exclusive game that happens to be compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles (still available digitally online). For the newcomers reading this, Final Fantasy creator and former Square Enix producer Hironobu Sakaguchi co-wrote the story of Lost Odyssey and his own independent studio Mistwalker laid the foundation and the other studio Feelplus did the coding of the game. Not only that, famous game musician Nobuo Uematsu composed and scored the music of the Xbox RPG. The horror comedy parody film succeeded beyond expectations making almost $280 million worldwide on a budget of less than $20 million. Here in the Philippines, Scary Movie opened on November 1 of 2000 and I saw it that day inside the local cinema which was almost full. I noticed a lot of local moviegoers enjoyed its crude comedy under direction of Keenen Ivory Wayans and the performance of Anna Faris. Recently, VKunia posted her reaction video of Scary Movie and her reactions are similar to how the moviegoers around me reacted on November 1, 2000. Watch her video below.

#5 WarGames Revisited – Back in the 1980s, the Cold War was still hot in people’s minds and information technology (IT) itself was gradually becoming important in America. The 1983 movie WarGames featured a tale about war simulation, hacking, artificial intelligence (AI), the use of super computers for military operations and more. Back then, US President Ronald Reagan saw the film and this led to discussions with members of Congress, advisers and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. A review of full nation security was eventually ordered by Reagan. In today’s age, artificial intelligence is very common and it is causing varied disturbances worldwide which makes WarGames still relevant. Jeepney Driver Arrested In Parañaque City For Illegal Trading of Firearms

Recently in the city of Parañaque, a jeepney driver was apprehended by local police officers for the illegal trading of firearms, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. The arrest was the result of a successful buy-bust operation organized by the police.

The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested a jeepney driver suspected of being a firearm dealer during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Friday, Oct. 17.

The suspect, identified as Jhastian, 28, was apprehended at around 1:30 a.m. on Dr. A Santos Avenue (Sucat Road), Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City.

The SPD said members of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) immediately planned an entrapment operation after an informant reported the illegal sale of firearms by a certain “Puyo” and his cohorts operating in Parañaque and nearby areas.

The DSOU, together with members of the District Intelligence Division (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), coordinated with the Parañaque City Police for the arrest of the suspects.

Confiscated from Jhastian were one .45-caliber pistol, one .38-caliber revolver, two magazines of .45-caliber pistol, eight rounds of ammunition for both firearms, a small navy-blue backpack, and one black NOKIA keypad cellphone.

Police said further investigation and coordination are underway to determine the suspect’s possible involvement in other cases of illegal firearms trading across Metro Manila.

P6.8 Million Worth of Illegal Drugs Confiscated in Parañaque City Operation

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local police officers successfully organized a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of a big-time drug pusher and the confiscation of illegal drugs worth almost P7 million, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

Police arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation that resulted in the confiscation of P6.8 million worth of shabu on Oct. 14 in Parañaque City.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as Salvador. He was nabbed at around 5:15 a.m. on San Lusi Street in Sitio Fatima Valley 6.

Members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) launched an entrapment operation against the suspect, who was classified as a big-time drug pusher.

Police said the suspect initially sold 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000 to an undercover operative. During the subsequent search, five more plastic sachets containing 950 grams of shabu valued at P6,460,000.00 were seized from him.

The operatives also recovered the buy-bust money, a brown paper bag, a green eco-bag, and a black weighing scale used in the illegal drug trade.

Japan’s New Prime Minister Takaichi

Japan now has a new Prime Minister and her name is Sanae Takaichi (Takaichi Sanae for those who communicate in Japanese) and already her administration has been formed. Prime Minister Takaichi is a strongly conservative woman who not only has friendship with US President Donald Trump, but also met the late Margaret Thatcher who is her main inspiration for conservative governance and leadership. Being conservative, her loyalty to her people and nation is uncompromising and she intends to preserve the Japanese culture and ways while other nations of the world gave in to illegal immigration, Islamic terrorists and woke ideology.

Shortly after taking office, an official statement was released by the Prime Minister which you can read in English below.

Today, I was designated as the nation’s Prime Minister, and a new Cabinet has been inaugurated. Bolstered by a strong and unwavering belief in the latent power and vitality of Japan and the Japanese people, I will dedicate myself completely to discharging my duty of forging a path for Japan’s future.

I will work resolutely for the sake of our nation and the Japanese people, filled with the determination to press ahead tenaciously under any circumstances. I will strive to build a strong economy, turning people’s unease and apprehension over their current lives and the future into hope, and I will deal with the challenges facing the international community as I embark on restoring Japanese diplomacy that flourishes on the world’s center stage.

I ask the Japanese people for their understanding and cooperation as I take these responsibilities upon myself.

Prime Minister Takaichi has already formed her cabinet and the stock market jumped sharply in response to her election. Takaichi was first elected to the Diet (Japan’s Parliament) in 1993 and she went on to serve for decades notably under the administration of the late Shinzo Abe. Clearly she is very experienced as a public servant.

The new Prime Minister also declared that Japan will NOT take in Islamists and illegal immigrants. This is a strong stance that I admire in Takaichi. Illegal immigration is a global disease that leads to worsening crime, failed multiculturalism and a series of problems for citizens. Islamists meanwhile are focused on migrating in great numbers to new countries believing they can overwhelm the locals, spread violence and hatred, and then destroy the local societies and cultures with the intention to replace them with their own.

In my experience, I visited Japan as a tourist. I admired Japan for its rich culture, its conservative ways, long lasting traditions and how their people lived with discipline and harmony. I certainly do not want illegal immigration and Islamization to ruin Japan. In fact, wokeness and political correctness are diseases and they will never make Japan better. That said, it is only right that Takaichi took office as Prime Minister.

The woke, the Satanic Leftists, the unhinged rabid feminists, the diversity extremists, the illegal immigration extremists and the LGBTQ mob can always keep on condemning PM Takaichi all they want (note: they have been doing it since Takaichi was elected president of her party weeks ago) but Japan does not really have to bow to them nor does it need to follow their evil ideologies. Takaichi has a nation to rebuild, an economy to revive and a lot of fellow Japanese people to take care of.

#1 You, Me and the Movies React To G.I. Joe: The Movie – When I was very young, me and my friends were fortunate enough to watch the 1987 animated movie G.I. Joe: The Movie on home video which was in high demand for rental in our entire village. We were all very entertained and astounded by the feature film and, unsurprisingly, a lot of G.I. Joe fans in the community started talking about it. Considering its pop culture significance and the involvement of Don Johnson as Lt. Falcon, it is surprising that there are actually few reaction videos of G.I. Joe: The Movie on YouTube as of this writing. Recently, You, Me and The Movies posted its reaction video which I found entertaining. If you have not seen G.I. Joe: The Movie yet, watch it entirely first. Otherwise, enjoy the reaction video below.

#2 Panzer Dragoon Saga Revisited – I never played any of the Panzer Dragoon games released by Sega. What caught my attention was the critical acclaim Panzer Dragoon Saga received in 1998 and it was not only a Sega Saturn-exclusive game but also a role-playing game (RPG). I found this retrospective YouTube video of Panzer Dragoon Saga and it has a fascinating look at the game’s production, history and the fact that two members of game developer Team Andromeda died. Watch it now.

#3 Explore a 7-Eleven Convenience Store In Japan – Months ago, Nippon TV (NTV) posted an exploratory feature news video about the many interesting stuff foreign visitors will find inside a 7-Eleven convenience store in Japan. Apart from the usual food and beverage stuff people expect to see inside convenience stores, 7-Eleven stores in Japan has its own features ranging from unique products to the consumer-friendly services available. The good thing about Nippon TV’s feature video is that the information is presented in English. Watch the video below.

#4 The Fifth Element Revisited – What can be said about the 1997 sci-fi film The Fifth Element? For me, it was a zany action movie that had a strong European touch on comedy and expressions, and it so happens that it had the famous Bruce Willis as the action hero. Of course, the film managed to arouse certain emotions or reactions from moviegoers, and the same can be said about YouTubers who did reaction videos about it. Watch and enjoy the selected reaction videos of The Fifth Element below.

#5 Steven Spielberg’s Animation Legacy – If you have extensively researched the work and creative history of Steven Spielberg, then you should be aware of his involvement in the production of animated movies…both hand-drawn and computer-generated. Since the 1980s, Spielberg produced animated feature films that happened to be directed by others, and I saw An American Tale as a young boy. Much later in life, I saw The Adventures of Tintin which Spielberg himself directed. Spielberg’s history with animation is extensive and you can discover a lot by watching the video below.

Man Apprehended In Parañaque City For Illegal Firearm Trade And Robbery Holdup Incidents

Police nabbed a 22-year-old man involved in the illegal trading of firearms and robbery holdup during the conduct of a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City.

The suspect was identified as Marco, a resident of Seaside Square, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City. He was arrested at the parking area of Andres Pares and Budbod Restaurant located along Roxas Boulevard, Parañaque City.

Members of the Southern Police District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), in coordination with the District Intelligence Division (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), and Parañaque City Police, conducted a joint buy-bust operation for the arrest of Marco after an informant reported the suspect’s involvement in illegal sale of firearm trading and a series of robbery-holdup incidents.

Police recovered from the suspect one caliber 9mm Armscor pistol, one magazine loaded with two live rounds, the buy-bust money, and one black sling bag where the firearm was placed.

Las Piñas City Government Releases Go Bags To First Batch Of Local Communities

The city government of Las Piñas distributed community go bags to different homeowners’ associations as part of the city government’s ongoing disaster preparedness and resilience campaign.

Barangays Manuyo Dos, Pulanglupa Uno, Zapote, and CAA were the first batch of communities to receive the go bags to equip households with essential emergency items that can be used during earthquakes.

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar said the go-bags contained a first-aid kit, flashlight, lightsticks, and other essentials that can help in any calamities that may occur.

Parañaque City Drug Den Dismantled And Four Suspects Arrested

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local police officers dismantled a suspected drug den and apprehended four suspects connected with the place, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

Authorities dismantled a suspected drug den in Parañaque City and arrested four drug suspects, one of them tagged by the police as a high-value individual (HVI).

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as Reynaldo, the HVI; Joshua, 27; Jastine Joy, 27; and Joanna Mae, 27, identified by the police as street-level individuals.

The police said the suspects were arrested in El Durado, Sitio Payatas, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City. Confiscated from them was P394,000 worth of shabu.

Members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation following a tip that the said area was being frequented by users and being used as a drug den.

Confiscated from the suspects were 58 grams of shabu worth P394,000, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects were detained at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility and charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
