If you are touring a foreign land, you better behave yourselves in order to maintain a good standing as a foreign visitor. This is an important lesson to learn as Thailand deported a Spanish man and a Peruvian woman who got caught doing a sex act while riding a moving vehicle locally called the tuk-tuk, according to a news report by VnExpress. The deported ones already confessed their act of indecency.

Thai immigration authorities have deported a Spanish man and a Peruvian woman after they were allegedly caught performing a sex act on a moving tuk-tuk in popular island Phuket earlier this week.

The 41-year-old man and 43-year-old woman were filmed engaging in oral sex aboard the tuk-tuk on Sunday, in an incident that sparked public criticism over damage to Thailand’s tourism image, Bangkok Post reported.

Police interrogated the couple on Monday night and both confessed to their act, Nation Thailand reported.

They were charged with public indecency and immigration police said that the couple have been blacklisted and deported.

Public sex and indecent acts are punishable by fines of up to 5,000 baht (US$155) under Thai law.

However, the penalties have done little to deter some tourists from engaging in public nudity and other inappropriate behaviour outdoors.

On April 12, a French couple, both 24, were arrested after allegedly engaging in a public sex act on Rayee Beach. The pair were later deported after videos circulated online showing the nude woman straddling her boyfriend and performing sexual acts in full view of beachgoers.

Following the revision of the limits on defense equipment exports and the successful testing of anti-ship missiles witnessed by many, Japan is considering the export of Type 88 Surface-to-Ship Missile (SSM-1) system to the Philippines, according to a news report by Kyodo News.

The Japanese government is considering exporting the Type 88 surface-to-ship missile system to the Philippines, a source familiar with the matter said Friday.

The move follows Tokyo’s revision in April of its three principles on the transfer of defense equipment and technology, as well as the implementing guidelines, which eased restrictions on exports of lethal weapons.

Japan and the Philippines are aiming to strengthen security ties amid China’s assertiveness in the East and South China seas.

Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi told reporters Friday that “nothing has been decided at this point,” regarding the possible missile export.

Referring to an agreement on enhanced defense equipment and technology cooperation reached in Manila on May 5 with his Philippine counterpart Gilberto Teodoro, Koizumi voiced his intention to decide what would be exported.

On May 6, Japan’s Self-Defense Forces conducted a live-fire drill involving the Type 88 missile system during the annual U.S.-Philippines Balikatan exercise in the Philippines.

Parañaque Joint Busted By NBI, 7 Suspects Arrested And 12 Victims Rescued

Recently in the City of Parañaque, elements of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) successfully organized an operation that targeted a local joint resulting in the rescue of twelve victims (including minors) and the apprehension of seven suspects over trafficking violation, according to a news article by the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested seven individuals and rescued 12 trafficked victims, including several minors and an infant, during a series of entrapment and rescue operations on May 7 in Parañaque City for violation of Republic Act 10364, otherwise known as the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.

The operation, conducted by the NBI Homicide Division, stemmed from intelligence information provided by a non-governmental organization (NGO) regarding the activities of a suspected human trafficking group engaged in the sexual exploitation of minors under the guise of spa and wellness services.

The group allegedly offered victims to clients as “therapists” for so-called “nuru massage” and “lingam massage,” which, upon investigation, were found to involve sexual services in exchange for money.

Acting on the report, NBI-Homicide Division agents conducted extensive surveillance and monitoring and coordinated online with the subjects through social media platforms.

“This led operatives to an establishment identified as ‘Rainbow Spa,’ where undercover agents confirmed that illegal activities were being conducted there,” the NBI said in a news release Sunday.

During the operation, undercover agents were offered the services of two female therapists and were subsequently brought to a nearby apartelle.

After the marked money was handed over as payment, the operatives arrested the suspects, including two male individuals responsible for transporting and delivering the minor victims to clients.

The NBI said further investigation revealed that several victims and suspects were staying together in a residence located in Fortunata Village, Parañaque City.

The operation further uncovered that two minor victims were still being transported to service clients in separate locations.

“Follow-up investigation identified the alleged operators of the trafficking syndicate, a couple residing in Fourth Estate, Brgy. San Antonio, Parañaque City. A subsequent operation led to their successful arrest,” the NBI said.

“Simultaneously, another team of NBI-Homicide Division agents conducted a rescue operation at a motel in Pasay City, where a minor victim was rescued, and her male client was arrested. Additionally, another female victim was recovered during an inventory and verification operation conducted at the Fortunata Village residence,” it added.

The arrested subjects have already been inquested before the appropriate prosecutorial office for violations of RA 10364 and other applicable laws.

NBI Director Melvin A. Matibag commended the operatives of the NBI-Homicide Division for the successful conduct of the operations and reaffirmed the Bureau’s unwavering commitment against human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children.

When the wrong people are in power, crime can not only cause harm on the citizens and bring down property values, but also cause economic depression, social deterioration and spread immorality. Japan, which is one of the largest economies of the world, has an enduring population growth problem as low fertility rates stubbornly remained. That said, the child population of Japan has declined yet again reaching a new all-time low of 13.29 million, according to a news report of Kyodo News. The said figure even includes foreign residents.

Japan’s child population has shrunk to an estimated 13.29 million as of April 1, down 350,000 from a year earlier and marking a new record low, the government said Monday.

The ratio of children under 15 dropped 0.3 percentage point to 10.8 percent of the total population, also the lowest since comparable data became available in 1950, according to data released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications ahead of the national Children’s Day holiday on Tuesday.

The figures, including foreign residents, were calculated using population estimates that are based on a national census conducted every five years.

While the Japanese government has prioritized measures to address the declining birthrate and designated the period through 2030 as a “final opportunity to reverse the trend,” the decline has continued for 45 years despite steps such as expanding financial support for child-rearing households.

By gender, there were 6.81 million boys and 6.48 million girls, according to the data.

By age, 3.09 million children were 12 to 14, whereas 2.13 million were 0 to 2, indicating a trend of fewer children being born.

The number of children, including foreigners, born in Japan in 2025 hit a record low of 705,809, declining for the 10th consecutive year, according to preliminary data released by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

Japan’s child population has been falling since 1982, after peaking in 1954 at 29.89 million, while a second baby boom was observed between 1971 and 1974. The ratio of children has also been falling for the 52nd consecutive year since 1975.

#1 You, Me and The Movies React To Lone Wolf McQuade – It has been a few months since the movie legend Chuck Norris passed away at age 86. He left behind a legacy of action movies and even played Bruce Lee’s tough opponent in The Way of the Dragon. Norris also had action movies filmed on location here in my native Philippines. In the 1980s, Norris appeared in a lot movies that involved guns and hard action, and one of his more notable films of the time was 1983’s Lone Wolf McQuade in which he faced off with fellow action star David Carradine. Recently, You, Me and the Movies posted their reaction video of Lone Wolf McQuade and it is entertaining to watch. I urge you to watch it now.

#2 Minty Comedic Arts’ Invasion U.S.A. Video – Still focused on the late Chuck Norris, his 1985 action movie Invasion U.S.A. was not merely made to entertain moviegoers with lots of explosions, dangerous stunts and hard action. Norris read an article in Reader’s Digest about the presence of hundreds of terrorists running loose in the United States which impacted him as he care about his country and his fellow Americans. This eventually led to the making of Invasion U.S.A. which succeeded commercially as it spread awareness to the American people as to how they can defend themselves in the event foreign terrorists invade their country. Today, Islamic terrorism as well as the entrance of Islamo-Leftist foreigners into America made this 1985 more socially relevant. #4 Ranting For Vengeance Slams CBR And Others Who Hate 1980s Anime – I grew up watching lots of anime shows and feature films early in life and the 1980s is a memorable decade. It was during the 1980s when I saw anime productions from the 1970s and the newest ones of the decade. To name some, I saw the 1980s Astro Boy series, Galaxy Express 999, Captain Future, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Voltes V, Daimos, Mazinger Z and others. While such old anime productions proved to be entertaining, there are still some people out there who bashed them because those productions (and their stories) did not align with their modern day woke agenda. The popular geek entertainment portal CBR published lots of articles saying that the old anime productions did not age well and a lot of readers and netizens followed suit. As such, Ranting for Vengeance slammed them and stood up for 1980s anime backed with detailed explanations. If you are a true fan of anime, watch the video below.

#5 Western Women Who Embraced Islam End Up Wrong – Did you notice that there is a growing number of women in the West who embraced Islam believing the fantasies that it is a religion of peace and is feminist? Indeed, there are these modern-day feminists who considered themselves Islamic without even fully knowing what Islam truly is, why Sharia Law is wicked and what was recorded in the Quran. #7 Ashleigh Burton’s Reaction To Witness – The 1980s will always be a memorable decade of Harrison Ford’s cinematic performances. During that decade, he appeared in two Star Wars movies and he was the center of attraction in the original Indiana Jones trilogy. Along the way, he appeared in the 1985 crime thriller film Witness in which he played a police detective protecting an Amish woman and her son. The movie earned several Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and even Best Actor for Harrison Ford. Ibaraki Prefecture’s policy on rewarding those who report businesses hiring illegal foreign workers has officially taken effect yesterday and if the information leads to an enforcement action, the tipster will be rewarded 10,000 ten (over US$60), according to a report by Kyodo News. Ibaraki Prefecture (population: 2.9 million) currently has the largest number of undocumented foreign workers among all of Japan’s prefectures.

Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, launched a controversial program Monday to reward people for reporting businesses that hire illegal foreign workers.

After verifying the information as accurate, the prefectural government will report the employers to the police. If the information leads to an enforcement action, the tipster will receive a reward of 10,000 yen ($64).

The program was introduced after the prefecture said it had the highest number of undocumented foreign workers among the country’s 47 prefectures for four consecutive years.

The local government says foreign workers are necessary amid severe labor shortages and the crackdown on illegal hiring will help to address human rights violations.

According to the prefecture’s guidelines, reporting will be limited to businesses hiring, brokering or suspected of facilitating illegal employment, and information submitted with malicious intent or about individuals based on their appearance or nationality will not be accepted.

Reports can be filed through the prefectural website by providing personal information such as name, address and phone number, and must include a copy of identification, such as a driver’s license, the prefecture said.

When it comes to international tourism, Vietnam continues to be a fast-growing tourist destination as it successfully attracted almost nine million foreign tourists in the first four months of 2026, according to a news report by VnExpress. With the way it is going, Vietnam could easily break its all-time record of 21.2 million foreign tourists attracted in 2025.

Vietnam drew 2.03 million international visitors in April, lifting the first four months’ total to 8.8 million, a 14.6% year-on-year increase and about 35% of its 2026 target of 25 million arrivals.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) said the figures highlight the country’s rising profile as a safe, stable and increasingly compelling destination.

It is the first time Vietnam has surpassed 2 million foreign arrivals for four straight months, and the first time the January – April tally has reached 8.8 million.

The 10 largest source markets during the period were mainland China, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Cambodia, the U.S., India, Japan, Australia and the Philippines, together accounting for roughly 72% of total arrivals. China and South Korea alone contributed nearly 40%.

The visitor mix is becoming more diversified, with several emerging markets gaining traction.

Russia stood out with growth of nearly 300% year-on-year, buoyed by the return of direct flights, strong demand for extended holidays, and Vietnam’s competitive edge in safety, infrastructure, natural assets and cost.

Southeast Asia maintained strong momentum, led by the Philippines, which surged 73.4% to enter the top 10, overtaking Malaysia. Cambodia rose 41.6%, Indonesia 30.1%, Singapore 29.8%, Malaysia 21.7%, amd Thailand 8.4%.

In South Asia, India continued to emerge as a key market, expanding 59.1% and signalling substantial room for further growth.

Europe recorded the fastest regional expansion, up 53.3% year-on-year in the first four months. Western and Northern European markets posted solid gains, including the U.K. (10.4%), France (12.1%) and Germany (14.5%).

America Approves $150 Million Sale Of Bell 505 Jet Ranger X Helicopters To The Philippines

In what is perceived to be a move to enhance the Philippines’ military modernization program and improve its pilot training capability, the United States approved the $150 million sale of Bell 505 Jet Rangers X helicopters to the nation, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The United States approved a possible $150 million sale of Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters to the Philippines, a move seen to strengthen Manila’s pilot training capability and support its military modernization program.

In a statement Tuesday, May 5, the US Department of State said it had “made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of the Philippines of Bell 505 Jet Ranger X Helicopters and related equipment” with an estimated total cost of $150 million.

The package included aircraft, spare parts, and training support, and it covered main and tail rotor blades, full-length trainer shoes, and pilot training for 22 personnel. The training would include ground and flight instruction, left seat orientation, and Instrument Meteorological Conditions and Helicopter Upset Recovery.

The deal also involved maintenance training for six students and specialized courses covering the Bell 505 Maintenance Officer Course, field maintenance, integrated avionics, component maintenance, and Safran engine training for 22 trainees.

The proposed acquisition also included Bell 505 Veris flight simulators, a five-year Integrated Logistics Support package, and one year of on-site field and logistics support representatives.

The US said the sale would “support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a treaty Ally that continues to be an important partner for political stability, peace, and economic progress in the Southeast Asia.”

It added that the helicopters would address gaps in rotary-wing training.

“The proposed sale will improve the Philippines’ capability to meet current and future threats by addressing aircraft competency gaps in operating rotary wing aircraft,” the statement said.

The US also noted the aircraft would help prepare pilots for more advanced platforms.

“This enhanced capability will facilitate the smooth transition for pilots to more complex rotary aircraft within the Armed Forces Philippines, and it is a cost-effective solution for developing rotary wing pilots,” it stressed.

The principal contractor for the deal would be Bell Textron Inc. based in Fort Worth, Texas.

The approval came as defense ties between Manila and Washington continued to deepen. Forces from the two nations are training in Manila until May 8 under the auspices of the Exercise Balikatan, featuring top-level military equipment.

It also followed an earlier US approval of a $5.58 billion sale of 20 F-16 fighter jets to the Philippines. The proposal, cleared in 2025, covered F-16C/D Block 70/72 aircraft along with weapons and support systems.

The Department of National Defense (DND) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) had acknowledged the offer but did not immediately proceed with the purchase due to budget constraints.

DND Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. said the country needed full funding to acquire a “minimum impact” fleet of multi-role fighter (MRF) jets under the Armed Forces modernization program, warning against partial purchases that could weaken capability and drive up costs.

He said the DND planned to acquire at least 40 jets for the Philippine Air Force but stressed that even this number remained limited compared with other countries, citing Ukraine’s planned 150 jets, Canada’s 200, and Thailand’s 50.

Teodoro warned that without sufficient congressional funding, the long-delayed multi-role fighter project could stall. He added that staggered buying would make prices “triple” over time.

In the presence of Philippines’ Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, Japan’s Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi, the media and many other officials, the Self-Defense Forces (SDF) launched two anti-ship missiles during a Balikatan multi-national exercise held in Paoay in the Philippines, according to a Kyodo News report. The live-fire drill involved one hundred forty ground SDF personnel and was a success in terms of directly hitting a target at sea.

The Japanese Self-Defense Forces on Wednesday fired two anti-ship missiles during a large-scale multinational exercise in the Philippines, with the two countries’ defense ministers observing the launches.

The two Type 88 surface-to-ship missiles successfully hit and sank a decommissioned Philippine navy vessel floating about 75 kilometers off Paoay on the northern Philippine island of Luzon during the annual Balikatan exercise co-hosted by the United States and the Philippines.

The live-fire drill involving about 140 Ground Self-Defense Force personnel was open to the media.

Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi and his Philippine counterpart, Gilberto Teodoro, watched the drill on site, while Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. observed the exercise remotely from Manila, according to the military of the Southeast Asian country.

China criticized the missile launches, with Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian saying Japan’s “right-wing forces are pushing for the acceleration of remilitarization,” posing a threat to regional peace and stability.
