The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) operatives on Sunday arrested a cop in a drug buy-bust operation in Parañaque City.
NCRPO Director Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. identified the suspect as Cpl. Neil Bagunu, 31, presently assigned at the National Police Training Institute (NPTI).
He was arrested in Purok-2 Formost Street in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City after receiving the marked and boodle money from a poseur buyer as payment for shabu at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Nartatez said the operatives seized drug paraphernalia worth PHP136,000 and a .45- caliber pistol.
The cop, he said, was brought to the Paranaque Police Station to face criminal and administrative charges.
He said over 500 policemen in Metro Manila have been dismissed from the service as part of the NCRPO’s internal cleansing since July last year.

A man wanted for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide in Northern, Samar was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police’s Warrant and Subpoena Section on Friday, June 14.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as alias John, 34, was arrested at around 8:00 a.m. in Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City.
The suspect, who was tagged as Top 4 wanted person in Samar for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, was arrested by members of the WSS who were conducting operations against wanted person.
The police said John was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Nilo Yu Dela Cruz of the Municipal Trial Court, Eighth Judicial Region, San Isidro, Northern Samar on May 14, 2024.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday announced that it has arrested 37 Chinese nationals allegedly involved in illegal retail in Paranaque.
The BI said that the seven females and 30 males from Multinational Village were found to be illegally involved in food retail, groceries, and restaurants. They were arrested on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
“We received credible information about foreign nationals engaging in illegal retail activities, and our team acted swiftly to address these violations,” Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said in a statement.
The Chinese nationals are detained at the BI’s facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa pending the resolution of their deportation cases.

Parañaque City police arrested the Southern Police District’s (SPD’s) top most wanted person for the crime of murder last May 17.
The SPD said the suspect, alias Love Singh, 24, listed in the police gallery as top most wanted person for the month of May was nabbed at around 9:30 p.m. in Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City.
Singh was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Ma. Christina De Pio Lim of Parañaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 296 on March 20, 2024, with no bail recommended.

Authorities are looking into the possibility that the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in Bamban, Tarlac is connected to a recent human trafficking and online scamming bust in a village in Parañaque City.
According to a “24 Oras” report by Mav Gonzales on Wednesday, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) believes the 10 Chinese and the Filipino bodyguard arrested in the police operations may have escaped from the recently raided Bamban POGO hub.
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, who had called for a probe into the incident following complaints filed by the residents of the village, agreed with Pagcor.
“Itong mga sindikato umiikot lang sila (These syndicates just switch around),” he said.
The raid was launched on May 2 following complaints from homeowners, who said that the structures violated their 3-story regulations. They also said this was not the first raid connected to POGO inside their village.
“When we saw Bamban, the structures were so similar…the process of applying for stickers, IDs, and also constructions. Some are using already local identification, passports, birth certificates, driver’s license, postal ID [and] all these things. They can’t even speak Tagalog,” said a homeowner.

Ten Chinese nationals who allegedly kidnapped seven Filipinos were arrested in Parañaque on Thursday.
The suspects, seven men and three women, were apprehended by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)’s National Capital Region field unit during a raid on a house in Multinational Village, Barangay Moonwalk at around 4:50 a.m.
Col. Jean Fajardo, the chief information officer of the Philippine National Police, said the rescue operation was based on information from one of the victims, a house helper, who alleged that they were held against their will by the suspects for three days.
Acting on the information, CIDG operatives and security guards of the village went into the house and arrested the suspects. Seven Filipinos were rescued in the operation.
Fajardo said the victims were being forced by the foreigners to engage in activities such as love scams and cryptocurrency fraud.
Police seized two firearms and assorted bullets, 17 cell phones, five desktop computers, three laptop computers, passports and identification cards.
The suspects are facing criminal charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention, qualified trafficking in persons, illegal gambling, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and violation of Republic Act 8484 or the Access Devices Regulation Act.

Back then, I was not even aware that a prequel comic book limited series of Terminator 3 was published and Score PN has a video about it which you can watch below. #3 Vizconde Massacre explanatory videos – Previously, I included Viva’s video showing the entire 1995 movie The Jessica Alfaro Story. For the newcomers reading this, Jessica Alfaro (played in the movie by Alice Dixson) was the star witness of the trial of the shocking Vizconde Massacre and it took her around four years to come out publicly. For legal reasons, The Jessica Alfaro Story film made alterations (creative liberties) to make a reference to the massacre without the Vizconde name. That being said, if you want to know more about the Vizconde Massacre of 1991, the trial that happened and the big decision the Supreme Court made in 2010, then you should watch these two explanatory videos. The third one analyzes the legal aspect of 2010 Supreme Court decision related to the massacre.
#4 RoboCop 2 reaction videos plus arcade/console game documentary – Back in 1990, my friends and I got to watch RoboCop 2 inside the movie theater here in the Philippines and almost all the seats were filled at the time. While the movie was not memorable as it never came close to matching the uniqueness and cultural impact of the 1987 original RoboCop, it still managed to entertain enough people who eventually became fans. Since then, a lot of Xbox fans have been speculating that in due time Xbox itself will change for the worse and eventually end to pave the way for Microsoft to become a multi-platform game publisher. That being said, the downward trend of Xbox continued as four of its game studios – Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, Roundhouse Studios and Arkane Studios – were suddenly shut down which sent shockwaves throughout the industry and attracted negativity to Xbox. Not only that, there was this very disappointing interview with Xbox president Sarah Bond which made things worse. The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect was identified as Jomari “Joms” Alano, 28.
Based on the report submitted to Parañaque Police Chief Col. Reycon Garduque, the suspect tagged as the Top 6 wanted person, was arrested at around 3:30 a.m. in Barangay Sto. Nino, Parañaque City.
Garduque said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Moises Domingo De Castro of Parañaque City Family Court, Branch 10 on November 13, 2023 with no bail recommended.

Police arrested four Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) workers during a rescue operation in Parañaque City on Thursday, April 25.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said Parañaque City police chief Col. Reycon Garduque reported the arrest of the suspects identified alias Wu, 29; alias Fan, 30; alias Liu, 31; and alias Xueyu, 33.
Garduque said the suspects were nabbed at around 6:30 p.m. in Merville Park, Barangay Merville, Parañaque City.
The operatives rescued the victim, identified as alias Zhang, 35, also a Chinese national, who was reportedly detained by the suspects.
Prior to the operation, the victim’s common-law wife, Jenny Rose, requested for police assistance claiming the victim was threatened and illegally detained by the suspects.
She said the suspects offered the victim a job. When the victim realized that the job was illegal, he tried to leave but was prevented by the suspects.
The suspects reportedly detained the victim and demanded P500,000 in ransom money from his relatives and family.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Tuesday said two Chinese nationals recently arrested in Cebu province and Parañaque City are now awaiting deportation.
Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified them as Zhu Yuanjiang, 25; and Ma MIngjie, 51, who were arrested last week in separate operations of the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU).
Both are now detained at the BI detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City while awaiting deportation.
Zhu was arrested on April 17 in Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City after the BI board of commissioners issued a warrant of deportation against him last year.
He was ordered deported for overstaying and for working in the country without proper permits.
Investigation showed that Zhu previously worked in Xinchuang Network Technology Inc., an online gaming hub in Pasay City that was raided by authorities in June last year for alleged engagement in various criminal activities such as human trafficking and cyber fraud.
Meanwhile, Ma was nabbed on April 19 at his residence in a subdivision in Parañaque City. He is wanted by Chinese authorities for contract fraud.
Ma has a warrant of arrest from the Jiangbei district sub-bureau of the Public Security Bureau in Chongqing, China issued on Dec. 6, 2017.
Chinese authorities alleged that Ma and his cohorts deliberately tampered with bank accounts and account names of a point of sale machine merchant which resulted in the unauthorized transfer of over 58 million yuan (more than USD8 million) from China Minsheng Banking Corporation to his altered bank account.
