During an entrapment operation in ParaƱaque City, a Chinese national physically attacked three agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and it took a few men to subdue him, according to a GMA Network news report.
To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the news report of GMA News. Some parts in boldfaceā¦
Three agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) were physically attacked by a Chinese man during an entrapment operation in Paranaque City.
In John Consultaās exclusive report on ā24 Orasā on Tuesday, the incident occurred against members of the NBI Criminal Intelligence Division inside a building in ParaƱaque City.
Video showed one NBI agent backing away after he was punched in the face by one of the Chinese men.
Authorities had difficulty in arresting the Chinese man after his violent outburst after his companion was being arrested.
āNagulat kami. Lumaban.
(We were caught off guard because he fought back and hurt our agents. What he did was very bothering because it seemed like he was not afraid of local authorities.)
āIt took at least three men to subdue the said person pero kung unarmed, you will practice maximum tolerance din pagdating sa ganyan. Huliin mo talaga kaya tatlong agents dyan ang nasaktan,ā he added.
(It took at least three men to subdue the said person, but he was unarmed, [so] you will practice maximum tolerance in this case. You need to arrest them, but in the process three of our agents got hurt.)
According to the NBI, one of the Chinese men is facing a complaint for allegedly keeping the complainantās passport as ransom.
āPassport na ayaw isuli and the passport will be returned for a fee kaya pumunta kami doon in an entrapment operation. Naghanda kami ng pera, ng marked money, para ibayad and then after dun, ang plano huliin,ā Bocaling said.
(The suspect will only return the complainantās passport if he pays the fee, so we prepared marked money for the entrapment operation and the plan was to capture him.)
Let me end this post by asking you readers: What do you think about this recent development? If you are a resident of ParaƱaque, do you consider your city a hot spot of criminal activities and violent incidents involving Chinese nationals?

The tourism of the industry of the Philippines accounted for a share of 8.9% of the nationās gross domestic product (GDP) for the year 2024, according to a BusinessWorld news report.
To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the news report of BusinessWorld. Some parts in boldfaceā¦
THE SHARE of the tourism industry in the Philippine economy rose to a five-year high of 8.9% in 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Thursday.
Tourism direct gross value added (TDGVA) ā an indicator of the economic contribution from tourism-related activities ā jumped by 11.2% year on year to P2.35 trillion last year, preliminary data from the PSA showed.
However, TDGVA growth was slower than the 49.9% surge logged in 2023 and the slowest annual growth since the 10.3% expansion in 2020.
Despite the slower growth, the share of TDGVA to the economy rose to 8.9% in 2024, the highest share since the 12.9% recorded in 2019.
By industry, country-specific tourism characteristics goods ā shopping accounted for 21.8% of the total with P512.68 billion. It was followed by miscellaneous services (20.2% share or P476.23 billion) and accommodation services for visitors (18.4% share or P432.9 billion).
Domestic tourism expenditure, which includes resident visitorsā spending within the country on a domestic trip or as part of an international trip, grew by 16.4% to P3.16 trillion last year.
Outbound tourism spending reached P345.68 billion in 2024, rising by 37.5% from P251.35 billion in 2023.
Inbound tourism expenditure, meanwhile, inched up by 0.4% annually to P699.99 billion. Total employment in the tourism sector grew by 6.1% to 6.75 million in 2024. Tourism accounted for 13.8% of the total jobs in the country in 2024.
The majority of the tourism-related jobs were centered on miscellaneous activities. The health and wellness sector employed 1.83 million, accounting for a 27.1% share.
The accommodation and food and beverage sector had 1.69 million workers (25% share), while passenger transport had 1.67 million workers (24.7%).
Reinielle Matt M. Erece, an economist at Oikonomiya Advisory and Research, Inc. said easing inflation helped boost tourism spending last year.
āLower inflation relative to 2023 and better economic conditions in the country may have encouraged tourists due to better prices,ā he said in an e-mail. Inflation averaged 3.2% in 2024, cooling from the 15-year high of 6% in 2023.
Last year, the Department of Tourism recorded 5.95 million visitor arrivals, falling short of its 7.7 million target.
āWhile Philippine tourism has made substantial progress ā particularly in revenue generation ā it hasnāt achieved full recovery in terms of visitor numbers, and the pace of recovery appears to be slowing in early 2025,ā Leonardo A. Lanzona, Jr., an economics professor in Ateneo de Manila University, said in an e-mail.
Let me end this post by asking you readers: What is your reaction to this recent development? Do you think Philippine tourism will end up being weaker as an economic sector this year? Do you think the weakening Philippine Peso will convince foreigners to visit the Philippines very soon?

Recently authorities here in the Philippines deported over one hundred Chinese nationals who previously worked for Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), according to a news report by GMA News.
To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the news report of the GMA News. Some parts in boldfaceā¦
Some 100 Chinese individuals who worked for Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) were deported to China on Tuesday.
According to Saleema Refran’s report on Balitanghali, they were deported at around 10:40 a.m.
The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) said China paid for the airfare of the deportees, with the goal of ensuring that they will not be able to escape.
“Importante kasi sa kanila ‘yan dahil marami silang nakukuhang impormasyon dito sa mga bosses kung paano sila nag o-operate, saan sila nag-o-operate, at anu-anong mga sistema sa money laundering ang ginagamit nila,” PAOCC Executive Director Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz said.
(It’s important to them because they get a lot of information from the bosses here. How they operate, where they operate, and what money laundering systems they use.)
“Ang ayaw kasi nila siyempre ‘yung hindi nakakarating sa China mismo ‘yung mga boss nitong operation ng POGO,” he added.
(What they really don’t want, of course, is for the bosses of these POGO operations to not arrive in China.)
Once in China, the deportees will undergo investigation for scamming, cybercrime, fraud, and money laundering.
Broken apart ā Meanwhile, the Filipino partners and spouses of the deportees were emotional when saying their goodbyes, including one who even brought their six-month child.
“Sobrang sakit po kasi may anak po kami (It really hurts because we have a child),” one of the women said.
The mother is already in contact with the deportee’s family and China, and plans to follow him there with their daughter.
The former workers were arrested during anti-POGO operations in Cebu, Cavite, ParaƱaque, and Pasay.
They have been declared undesirable aliens due to lack of visas and work permits, and for working in illegal POGOs. Aside from these, they have also been blacklisted and can no longer return to the Philippines.
Let me end this post by asking you readers: What is your reaction to this recent development? Do you think the authorities should do more apprehending the many illegal aliens (former POGO workers) still on the loose so that more will get deported? Are you concerned that there could be many Filipinos who became personally involved with foreigners who worked in POGOs?

Recently in the city of ParaƱaque, two traffic violators were apprehended by the Highway Patrol Group (HGP) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and seized from them a gun, ammunition and even bullet-proof vests to name a few, according to a news article by the Philippine News Agency (PNA). It turns out, the suspects were previously involved in extortion.
To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the news article of the PNA. Some parts in boldfaceā¦
Two persons arrested for traffic violations by the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) were later found to be behind an extortion scheme using the name of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
The HPG operatives also seized a 9mm pistol, ammunition, handheld radios, three bulletproof vests and a C-4 explosive.
āWe are investigating because they appear to be ready for any armed confrontation, and why were they carrying C-4?ā Matta said in a press conference at Camp Crame in Quezon City on Sunday.
āWe are also conducting a follow-up operation because the report we received was that there was another vehicle that was able to flee.ā
Ambassador Markus Lacanilao, Special Envoy on Transnational Crime, said Joselito was among the three arrested in an entrapment in Pasay City in March last year but later posted bail.
Joselitoās group allegedly threatened to shut down an emission testing business if the owner would not give PHP5 million. Lacanilao said the apprehended vehicle was the same car used by three suspects.
āThey were asking money in exchange for the approval of business lime medicine and emission. And they were showing a video of the man posing as undersecretary at the Office of the President,ā Lacanilao said.
Lacanilao advised the public not to yield to extortion demands using the name of the First Family and instead report the matter to authorities.
Let me end this post by asking you readers: What do you think about this recent development? If you are a resident of ParaƱaque, are you concerned that armed extortionists and fraudsters could be lurking around? Do you know anyone who was extorted over the past twelve months? Was there a business joint in your local community that got harassed by extortionists?

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Zdorovetskiy was transferred to the BJMP last June 11 as he faces more local cases in the Philippines.
āZdorovetskiy will remain in the BJMPās custody until the resolution of his court cases, before he will be returned to the BI for deportation,ā the BI Chief said.
The detained foreigner previously requested for temporary release under bail, but the agency emphasized that no such relief has been granted.
In a document submitted to the BI, Zdorovetskiy claimed he has no intention of evading deportation, and pledged to stay within the National Capital Region. He also said he would immediately submit himself to BI custody should a deportation order be issued against him.
The BI received Zdorovetskiyās request but made it clear that the Bureau is not inclined to grant his appeal.
āThis is not just a matter of administrative procedureāit is about protecting the integrity of our immigration laws,ā said Viado.

As some of you are already aware, I fully stand with Israel which is very connected with my uncompromising faith in the Lord. I keep on praying to Him for Israel to overwhelm its enemies, rescue the hostages and recover from the effects of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks committed by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. I can assure all of you that nobody from the evil Islamo-Leftist mob, nobody from the pro-Palestine radicals, nobody from the terrorist leadership of Iran and nobody from any evil society would stop me from supporting and loving Israel.
Now, on with the latest developmentsā¦
It has been days since the war between Israel and the terrorist state of Iran started. This is a war that did not just start out of the blue. In reality, it has been building up for a very long time going back to the aftermath of the 1979 Iranian revolution when the Ayatollah and his henchmen came to power. Iran drastically changed into what is now an Islamic state driven by an evil ideology that includes genocide (including the annihilation of Israel and Western democracy), hatred, violence and terrorism.
No matter what the Islamists, the Leftists and their mainstream news media partners-in-crime (read: Reuters, Associated Press, and Agence France-Presse) say, it cannot be denied that Iran is a terrorist state and their leaders and officials chanted āDeath to Americaā, āDeath to Israelā and āDeath to Englandā so many times through the years. Iran also brutalized Iranian civilians who refused to be part of their culture of terrorism.
Along the way, Iran had been lying to the whole world as they kept moving forward with their uranium enrichment program and nuclear projects which were designed for mass destruction, not for energy. Given how hateful and evil Iranās government really is, they should never be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
That being said, Israel launched a series of strategic aerial attacks in Iran hitting military facilities, nuclear sites and government facilities. Israel is at conflict with the Ayatollah-led government and not the civilians of Iran. In fact, Israelās assault against Iran is meant to bring down the wicked regime and pave the way for millions of Iran to become free and hopefully move their nation towards Democracy. Israel is also doing the world a favor as Iran intends to be able to fire weapons of mass destruction (WMD) at Europe, Africa and even America.
To learn about the history between Israel and Iran, watch Ben Shapiroās explanatory video below.
It should be noted that Israel is not only in conflict with Iran. Israel also has terrorist supporter Qatar (which has Islamic terrorist news network and propagandist Al Jazeera), Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, Houthi terrorists and Hezbollah to deal with. Iran funded and armed Hamas, Houthi terrorists and Hezbollah for a long time now. I should also mention that the corrupted mainstream news media remain antagonistic towards Israel and they allowed themselves to be partners-in-crime of Iran and Islamic terrorists.
Israelās war with Iran is very costly and they are focused on achieving their goals to not only bring down the evil regime but also secure the safety of the Jewish state. Watch the comprehensive videos of travelingisrael and pay close attention to the details.
As mentioned earlier, you cannot rely on the mainstream news media for international updates or breaking news about the Israel-Iran war. Reuters, Associated Press and Agence France-Presse have sold their souls to Islamo-Leftists a long time ago and it is unfortunate that other smaller news organizations worldwide subscribed to their news feed which are filled with lies and distorted details designed to make Israel look bad and make people hate Israel. If you want truth and clarity, better get the news from TBN Israel and Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). Some selected news videos posted below for you all.
As some of you may be aware right now, I will always stand with Israel and I reject all forms of evil. Learn from what God declared in the holy scriptures below.
Now the Lord had said to Abram:
āGet out of your country,
From your family
And from your fatherās house,
To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.ā
Genesis 12:1-3 (NKJV)
Again God said to him, Your name is Jacob [supplanter]; you shall not be called Jacob any longer, but Israel shall be your name. So He called him Israel [contender with God].
And God said to him, I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall come from you and kings shall be born of your stock;
The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and to your descendants after you I will give the land.
Genesis 35:10-12 (AMPC)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,ā
Says the Lord.
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
Also, let me remind you that Lord Jesus is the hope of all nations. Never allow the forces of evil to bring you down. Never let the wicked ones pull you away from the Lord. Learn from the scriptures below.
For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
1 Timothy 2:5 (AMPC)
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 (NKJV)
āI am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine.
āI am the sprouting vine and youāre my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within youābut when you live separated from me you are powerless. 6If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within youāthen you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!
John 15:1-8 (TPT)
Always pray to the Lord in support of Israel, its government, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and its stakeholders. Learn to love and bless the Jewish people and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray to Him for Israelās victory over terrorist state Iran, for the existence of the Jewish state and Western democracy, and for the freedom of the Iranian people.
