2025 National Age Group Triathlon Subic Bay Freeport race set for January 25-26, registration ongoing

The 2025 season opener of the National Age Group Triathlon (NAGT) series is set to take place on January 25 and 26 at the Subic Bay Boardwalk inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and registration is ongoing.

A part of Triathlon Philippines’ (TriPhil) triathlon try-outs and talent identification program for the Philippine Triathlon Team, the 2025 National Age Group Triathlon – Subic Bay race will have race distances as follows:

● Super Trikids:

   ○  6-under 50m swim- 1km bike – 400m run

   ○  7-8 yrs. old 100m swim – 2km bike – 800m run

   ○  9-10 yrs. old 200m swim – 6km bike – 1 Km run

   ○  11-12 yrs. old 400m swim – 8km bike – 2km run

● U15: 500m swim – 10km bike – 2km run

● Sprint Distance: 750m swim – 20km bike – 5km run

● Standard Distance: 1.5km swim – 40km bike – 10km run (Individual and Team Relay)

The participants’ categories (Top 3) are listed as follows:

● Super Trikids (6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12)

● U15 (13-15 Boys & Girls Only)

● Sprint Distance:

   ○  Elite Men & Women

   ○  Jr. Elite Men & Women 16-19 y.o.

   ○  Age Group Men & Women

       • 16-19

       • 20-29

       • 30-39

       • 40-49

       • 50 & over

● Standard Distance

   ○ Age Group Men:

       • 18-24

       • 25-29

       • 30-34

       • 35-39

Race dates and schedules are as follows:

25th January 2025 (Saturday) at 6:00am for Super Trikids and U15 Distances

26th January 2025 (Sunday) at 6:00am for Sprint and Standard Distances

2024 National Age Group Triathlon Subic Bay Freeport race set for January 27-28, registration ongoing

If you are looking to start the new year with multisport action and competition, then you might be interested to join the 2024 National Age Group Triathlon – Subic Bay race set for January 27 and 28, 2024. Registration for the event is ongoing as of this writing.

Right now, the registration fees are as follows: P8,500 for Standard Distance Team Relay, P5,500 for Standard Distance, P5,000 for Sprint Distance, P4,500 for Super Sprint Distance and P3,500 for Super Trikids.

The Super Trikids and Super Sprint races will start at 6AM on January 27. The Sprint and Standard Distance races will take place on January 28 at 6AM.

The start and finish will be at The Boardwalk within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The 2024 National Age Group Triathlon – Subic Bay event is a qualifying race for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games and also a part of Triathlon Philippines’ trials and talent identification for the Philippine Triathlon Team. Welcome back my readers and sports fans! With the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) aquathlon gold medal won by the Philippines in Cambodia now in the record books, the multisport event of aquathlon has gained importance and recognition among multisport athletes in the nation. That being said, those who want to engage in aquathlon competition can do so by joining the National Age Group Aquathlon 2023 which is set to happen on October 15 at the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite. Online registration is ongoing (note: RaceYa.fit account is needed).

Supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Vermosa and RaceYa, and is presented by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP), the National Age Group Aquathlon 2023 has varied age categories and race distances that participants can choose from. • STK-Aqua:

6 yrs. old & under – (50m swim/100m run)

7- 8 yrs. old – (100m swim/200m run)

9-10 yrs. old – (200m swim/400m run)

11-12 yrs. old – (300m swim/1.5k run)

• Youth 13-15 yrs. old – (300m swim/2.5k run)

• Age groupers, Elite, Jr. Elite, Para-Tri and Team Relay – (500m swim/2.5k run)

Calling all who love the multisport dynamics of triathlon as well as those who love the Subic Bay Freeport Zone as the premier sports tourism destination of the country – the online registration for the NTT ASTC Subic Bay International Triathlon (SuBIT) 2023 is ongoing right now and you can start registering yourselves (note: RaceYa.fit account needed). This year’s edition of the SuBIT is set to happen on April 22 and 23, 2023 to be organized by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) in partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and I Love Fun-tastic Subic Bay, and presented by NTT and Asia Triathlon.

The NTT ASTC Subic Bay International Triathlon (SuBIT) 2023 is supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Standard Insurance and Asian Centre for Insulation Philippines, Inc.
