Alabang Hills Village Association (AHVA) declares Megarahe Sale 2024 a huge success

Were you able to attend the Megarahe Sale 2024 inside Alabang Hills Village on September 28 or 29? In recent times, the Alabang Hills Village Association (AHVA) declared this year’s edition of the annual Megarahe Sale a huge success.

To see what Megarahe Sale 2024 looked like, you can watch the video I recorded by clicking right here.

To put things in perspective, posted below is the excerpt from their official website update of October 4, 2024. Some parts in boldface…

To see the rest of the message, click https://alabanghillsvillage.com/2024/10/04/megarahe-sale-a-huge-success/

For the newcomers reading this, the Megarahe Sale (sometimes referred to as “Megarahe Sale & Kids Bazaar, Ukay-Okay!”) is held annually inside Alabang Hills Village. Every time it happens, there were lots of vendors selling a variety of goods such as clothes, shoes, bags, wallets and other household items that customers can choose from. Also present were sellers of food and drinks for the needs of visitors.

Going back to AHVA’s message, they specified the exact number of vendors of the Megarahe Sale 2024 although no numbers nor estimates were provided about the people who attended and/or shopped. Of course, it is very challenging to determine how many visitors arrived and how many individual transactions happened.

As the AHVA mentioned in their post, there are still more community events coming before the year ends. To find out about AHVA’s future events, visit https://alabanghillsvillage.com/ or call them at 88508254. You can visit their office at 1 Don Jesus Boulevard inside Alabang Hills Village from Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Always remember to follow their rules and speed limits whenever you are in the village.

Megarahe Sale inside Alabang Hills Village on September 15-17, 2023

Once again, the Alabang Hills Village Association (AHVA) will be organizing their Megarahe Sale (full title: Megarahe Sale, Kids Bazaar and Ukay-Okay!) from September 15 to September 17, 2023, 7AM to 7PM at the Phase 2 Park within the village. Local residents and non-residents (note: those who will ride vehicles with valid stickers of Alabang Hills Village can enter) are welcome to visit the Megarahe Sale and see what goods will be offered.

Take a close look at the details of this banner.

During my visit to the AHVA office along Don Jesus Boulevard, I inquired to find out what exactly can visitors look forward to. According to one of the office personnel, there will be a variety of goods for sale such as clothes, shoes, bags, wallets and other household items. The vendors selling these kinds of goods will be located at the covered basketball court of the Phase 2 park.

The AHVA also revealed that there will be sellers of food and beverages at the covered badminton court which is just steps away from the covered basketball court. Both covered courts are located in close proximity to the AHVA office at the mentioned park.

This covered basketball court will be the venue for sellers of household items, clothes, shoes and other items.
The covered badminton court is where the vendors of food and drinks will be during the Megarahe Sale.

Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar set for December 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18, 2022 in Alabang Hills Village

By the time you are reading this, you must have noticed the sudden number of bazaars and local community events that happened around since October. The Megarahe Sale inside Alabang Hills Village was successful while the Noel Bazaar this past weekend at Filinvest Tent attracted customers. The local communities, the enterprises, the consumers and the nation are indeed rising from the economic downturn of the COVID-19.

As Christmas is nearing, the Alabang Hills Village Association (AHVA) officially announced that they will be hosting Christmas shopping bazaars set to happen over three consecutive weekends this December. The event is officially called the Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar and the exciting news is that people are invited to attend it as there will be vendors selling lots of products and food, plus some notable fun events.

To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the AHVA’s official announcement. Some parts in boldface…

We are delighted to announce that we will again be holding a Christmas bazaar this December! Dubbed “Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar”, the festive event will draw on the theme of Tchaikovsky’s world-famous Christmas ballet, “The Nutcracker”.

The bazaar will open on Friday, the 2nd of December and will run for three consecutive weekends: December 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18. Bazaar hours will be from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day of the 9-day bazaar. Venue will be the entire AHV Phase 2 Park.

Come to the Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar and enjoy

• CHRISTMAS TREE & BAZAAR LIGHTING CEREMONY on December 2, 6:00 PM,

• UNCLE DROSSELMEYER’S ENCHANTED MARKET (the bazaar),

• THE KINGDOM OF SWEETS & SAVORIES (the food pavilion), and

• HARLEQUIN THEATRE (the stage and performance area)

The bazaar’s fun highlights will include Bingo & Raffle Afternoons, Dance, Food, Magic, Music, and more!

Entrance to the bazaar is free! Invite your friends and relatives and let’s together make this a fun and memorable community Christmas celebration! A portion of the proceeds from the bazaar will go to the beneficiary of the AHV Christmas Outreach Program.

Indeed, the Christmas season is already here and if you are looking for things to buy for Christmas gift-giving or buy something you need, then Alabang Hills’ Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar is something you should consider. With three consecutive full weekends set, there will be opportunities for you and your friends to attend and have fun. The Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar is the first Christmas bazaar to be held inside Alabang Hills Village in the last few years. Truly, the AHVA and its strategic partners and bazaar organizers are going big-time this December with the 3-weekend bazaar.

UPDATE: Here is the video I took during the opening day of the Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar on December 2, 2022.

Before you engage in Christmas shopping and having fun, always remember that Christmas is always all about Lord Jesus and it is to be rejoiced with Him. Thank the Lord for the continued revival of the Philippines from the downturn of COVID-19. Thank the Lord that more people have gotten vaccinated/boosted for COVID-19, that the local businesses and customers are more confident to interact with each other face-to-face, and that the Philippines is moving beyond the pandemic. Thank the Lord for the Nutcracker Christmas Bazaar and the many fun activities scheduled!

COPIX at Festival Mall

This past weekend, I took time out to visit the COPIX (Collectors & Pickers Xchange) inside Festival Mall in Filinvest City, Alabang to check out what items were offered and how entertaining or interesting the items were collectively.

The COPIX occupied some spaces on the 2nd level of the mall located close to the eye-catching huge Christmas tree. What I saw was a wide variety of collectibles that appeal to geeks, nerds and other collectors. I’m talking about toys, action figures, original art pieces, music records, shirts, posters, stickers, old magazines, comic books, accessories, bags, and more. Check out the pics below.

A look at the floor with sellers on both sides.
Comic books for sale.
Music in old formats on display.
Original art works for sale.
Pop culture figures on display.

To put things in perspective, the COPIX at Festival Mall which lasted four days is proof that life is normalizing and people are indeed gradually moving forward after the setback of the COVID-19 crisis. Just a few weeks ago, the Megarahe Sale inside Alabang Hills was revived and it attracted a lot of customers. To see the COPIX happen gives me confidence that the Philippines will not only recover from COVID-19 and all of the harmful restrictions, but also emerge stronger socially and economically.

With many more Filipinos already vaccinated/boosted for COVID-19 and are already used to following health protocols, it is safer to move around, participate in bazaars and local community events, organize or join in outdoor sports events, attend indoor worship services of churches with higher numbers, participate in a pop culture convention, etc. Indeed, the Philippines can live with COVID-19 and move forward without the need for those harmful community/regional restrictions. Achieving normalcy and pre-pandemic economic strength can be done.

Let me end this piece by asking you readers: If you are a Muntinlupa City resident, what is your reaction to the COPIX that took place inside Festival Mall? Were you able to pass by and see what were on display? Do you want to see another COPIX held in Alabang? On the aspect of pop culture, do you think Alabang is ready to host a comic convention with cosplayers, entertainers and entertainment-related businesses?
