A robbery suspect was arrested during a manhunt operation conducted by members of the Las Piñas City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section and Station Intelligence Section against wanted persons on Monday, Nov. 18.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla said the suspect, identified as alias “Rodney,” 24, was arrested at around 10:40 a.m. in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said the suspect who was placed as Top 2 wanted person under station level was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor Ramirez Aguba of the Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court, Branch 197 on October 16, 2024. He said Aguba recommended a bail of P100,000.

The City of Las Piñas, led by Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar, conducted its annual gift-giving event for Barangay Nutrition Workers (BNWs) on Tuesday, November 12, at the Las Piñas Cafe. The family of the victim identified as “Janilyn” visited Aguilar on Nov. 21 to seek assistance for the release of the victim’s body from the funeral home.

Aguilar was joined by Vice Mayor April Aguilar in handling the financial aid to the family.

Police investigation showed that Janilyn had a confrontation with her ex-husband identified as “Dennis” on Monday which led to the stabbing. He was later arrested by the police during a follow-up operation.

Members of the Las Piñas City Police arrested the former husband of an entertainer who was found dead at an open field in Las Piñas City on Monday, Nov. 18.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla said the suspect, identified as alias “Dennis,” was arrested after he was pinpointed by a witnesses as the last person seen with the victim, identified as alias “Janilyn.”

Tafalla said Dennis was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the house of the victim on P. Manahan St., Pasay City.

He said a security guard of Fine Property reported to the police that he heard a commotion in an open field in Gatchalian Road, Barangay Manuyo Dos at around 12:00 noon on Monday.

The witness said a male person wearing a blue half face helmet, black jacket, and maong pants on board a blue /red motorcycle was with the victim during the commotion.

Responding police officers found the body of the victim with multiple stab wounds in the different parts of the body and rushed her to Las Piñas District Hospital for treatment but was declared dead.

The police recovered a broken cellular phone at the crime scene and discovered that the victim’s last conversation was with Dennis.

Tafalla said a Shopee delivery called up the cellular phone of the victim leading to Janilyn’s identity who was first declared as unidentified.

The Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested two high value individuals (HVIs) wanted for illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Sunday, November 17.

Southern Police District (SPD) director BGen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as “Tony,” 52, and “Florentino,” 47. They were arrested in Barangay San Dionisio.

The duo yielded P170,000 worth of shabu and a .45 caliber pistol with live ammunition. An additional P510,000 worth of shabu was also recovered from the suspects.

Five kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P34 million were recovered when anti-narcotics agents raided the house of a suspected drug dealer in Las Piñas City on Saturday.

Armed with a search warrant issued by a Las Piñas court, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided a condominium building along Alabang-Zapote Road in Barangay Almanza Uno.

The anti-narcotics operation targeted two high-value suspects. One of them, identified as Kenneth Bandong, 30, was arrested. Bandong’s cohort, a woman, was not around during the raid.

PDEA agents said they found five kilos of shabu in the condominium unit. Bandong is facing cases for illegal drug possession under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Three foreign nationals were arrested in a shooting incident that wounded a Chinese national in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Thursday.

In a report, SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as alias Shi, 31, and alias Sui, 33, both Chinese nationals, and alias Edwin, 39, a Cameroonian.

They were arrested after a shooting incident occurred at a residential complex in Barangay Don Galo on Wednesday morning.

The victim, a money changer employee residing in the complex, identified as alias Li, a 35-year-old Chinese national, sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment at the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay City.

He identified the suspects to the police, leading to a swift operation that resulted in the arrest of Shi, Sui, and Edwin.

During the arrest of the suspects, operatives seized 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1.2 million, a 9mm Glock 19 pistol, one magazine, ten live ammunition, two empty shells, one bullet slug, three butane gas canisters, and two pointed weapons.

Masbate City’s most wanted person arrested in Parañaque City

Masbate’s most wanted person was arrested during a manhunt operation last Thursday in Parañaque City.

The 23-year-old suspect, known by his alias “John,” is originally from Barangay Baga-uma, Aroroy, Masbate was apprehended at 1:20 a.m. in Barangay San Antonio in Sucat.

The suspect faces a murder charge and he had been on the run since a warrant for his arrest was issued on June 9 last year by the regional trial court in Masbate City, according to Parañaque police.

The manhunt operation was a joint effort involving the Aroroy Municipal Police Station, Parañaque City Police Sub-Station 6 and the National Capital Region Police Office.

After his capture, the suspect was brought to Parañaque City Police Sub-Station 6 by 1:50 a.m.

Members of the District Drug Enforcement Unit of the Southern Police District (DDEU-SPD) arrested four high value individuals, one of them a former member of the Intelligence Service Armed Forces of the Philippine-Philippines Air Force (ISAFP), in possession of illegal drugs and firearms during a buy-bust operation conducted in Parañaque City on Monday, November 11.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as alias “J,” 37, alias “Edjane,” 33, a student, alias “Reymar,” 27, and alias “Mark Anthony,” 25.

Yang said the suspects were arrested at around 8:05 p.m. at a drug den located in Barangay Merville, Parañaque City.

He said the suspects were arrested by police operatives from the DDEU-SPD in collaboration with the District Intelligence Division (DID-SPD), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB-SPD), Sub-Station 7 of Parañaque City Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Southern District Office (PDEA SDO).

The SPD chief said confiscated from the suspects were 225 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,530,000 and a caliber 9mm pistol with an inserted magazine and live ammunition.

Authorities arrested a high-value target and seized about PHP2 million worth of assorted party drugs in an anti-drug-operation in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Friday.

In a statement, SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspect as alias “Kylie,” 26, who was arrested during a buy-bust operation along Greenheights Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City at about 5:35 p.m. on Thursday.

Yang said PHP2,055,900 worth of assorted party drugs were confiscated from the suspect, consisting of 141 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of PHP747,300; 153 grams of suspected ketamine (PHP765,000); 274 grams of high-grade marijuana or “kush”(PHP411,000); and 78 pieces of assorted ecstasy tablets (PHP132,600).

Also seized were a weighing scale, one genuine PHP1,000 bill, and PHP64,000 in boodle money used in the buy-bust transaction

All recovered substances will be submitted to the SPD’s forensic unit for quantitative and qualitative analysis, while the suspect will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
