Recently in Parañaque City, local law enforcers successfully pulled of a buy-bust operation that resulted in the apprehension of several suspects – including one high-value target – and the seizure of P340,000 worth of illegal drugs, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

A woman tagged by the police as a high value individual (HVI) and her five cohorts were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Parañaque City Police last March 29.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as alias “Anne,” 43, alias “Maite,” 45; alias “Donna,” 31; alias “Peter,” 28; alias “Darwin,” 47 and alias “Jeffrey,” 33.

The police said members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted the buy-bust operation at around 5:30 p.m. in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City due to the reported proliferation of illegal drugs in the area.

Authorities seized multiple sachets containing 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, P500 buy-bust money, two mobile phones containing drug transactions, and other drug paraphernalia.

Recently in Parañaque City, an armed construction worker was apprehended by local police officers for the possession of illegal drugs and illegal sale of firearms, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

A construction worker was arrested by members of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) of the Southern Police District for his involvement in the illegal sale of firearms and possession of P204,000 worth of shabu on March 26.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as alias “Edmon,” 26. He was arrested at around 5:30 p.m. at a gasoline station in Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City

The police said members of the SPD-DSOU, in coordination with the Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) and the Parañaque City Police, conducted a buy-bust operation for the arrest of the suspect after a tip from an informant about his involvement in the illegal sale of firearms in Parañaque City and nearby areas.

Recovered from Edmon were one .38 caliber revolver loaded with live ammunition, one .22 caliber revolver, two pieces of .38 caliber live ammunition, one blue Vivo mobile phone, one P1,000 bill used as marked money, and a brown paper bag labeled “The Bistro Group” where the firearms were placed.

The police operatives were also able to recover from Edmon 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000.

Recently in the City of Muntinlupa, local police officers arrested two women for selling the illegal substance shabu during a buy-bust operation in Alabang, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The Muntinlupa police arrested two women after they sold shabu to an undercover officer in Alabang on Feb. 27.

The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Muntinlupa Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit at about 2:40 a.m. at the Old City Terminal in Alabang, leading to the arrest of suspects identified as Nobaisa, 38, and Milla, 34, both residents of Purok 4, Balbanero Compound in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Authorities seized a plastic sachet of shabu, the item sold during the undercover transaction. The police confiscated three more sachets containing shabu from the suspects. The total confiscated shabu weighed 55 grams valued at P374,000.

Also seized during the operation were a genuine P500 bill and 10 pieces of counterfeit P500 bills used as boodle money. The seized illegal drugs will undergo laboratory examination at the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit.

The two suspects are detained at the Muntinlupa police’s custodial facility. They will face charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Recently in the City of Muntinlupa, local police officers arrested two most wanted persons – ranked 9th and 10th most wanted respectively – over illegal drugs cases, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The Muntinlupa police arrested the No. 9 and No. 10 most wanted persons who are facing cases for possession of illegal drugs on Feb. 27.

The first operation was conducted in Barangay Bayanan, Muntinlupa that led to the arrest of alias Ricardo, 23, a tricycle driver and a resident of Barangay Alabang. Ricardo was ranked as the No. 9 top most wanted person for the first quarter of 2025.

Ricardo was apprehended by operatives from the Muntinlupa police’s Station Intelligence Section based on a warrant of arrest dated Jan. 28 issued by Presiding Judge Liezel Aquiatan of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205.

After his arrest, Ricardo was taken to the City Health Center for a medical examination before being turned over to the police’s custodial and detention facility.

On the same day, police operatives arrested alias Cesar, 41, ranked as the No. 10 top most wanted person, on Montillano Street in Alabang.

He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204.

The two men are facing cases for possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Recently in the City of Parañaque, elements of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) arrested two Chinese nationals and rescued a kidnap victim (also Chinese) who was tortured during captivity, according to a GMA Network news report.

A Chinese national was rescued after he was kidnapped and tortured in a condominium in Parañaque City on Thursday evening, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) said.

Authorities responded when they received a video from a confidential informant showing the victim being subjected to torture, according to a reported of GMA Integrated News’ Jhomer Apresto on “Unang Balita.” The victim was covered in bruises and sustained bone fractures.

“Nakuha namin yung information na nandito siya sa 1902. Then, nung kinatok nga namin, positibo, nandito ang biktima. At sinabi niya na nagtatago yung dalawang suspect doon sa mga kwarto,” PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said.

(We got the information that he was here in 1902. Then, when we knocked, it was positive, the victim was indeed here. He said the two suspects were hiding in the rooms.)

Two Chinese suspects were arrested including the person who was holding a gun in the video. Recovered from the area were bladed weapons and rods.

According to PAOCC, the suspects were possibly involved in an illegal Philippine offshore gaming operator and part of a huge group.

“Talamak na kasi yung kidnapan dito sa area ng southern Metro Manila ng mga Chinese nationals. Kung anuman ang kadahilanan, minsan pinapatubos, minsan may mga pagkakautang,” Casio said.

(The kidnapping of Chinese nationals in the area of southern Metro Manila is very serious. Whatever the reason, sometimes they were ransomed, sometimes they were in debt.)

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have arrested two Chinese nationals allegedly involved in selling unregistered medicines in Metro Manila.

Agents of the CIDG-Detective and Special Operations Unit nabbed suspects Hu and Quan in a buy-bust at Concorde Village, Tambo, Parañaque City past midnight Saturday.

According to a news release Sunday, the CIDG agents confiscated two boxes of OTC 999 – Ganmaoling Keli, 20 boxes of Glucophage – Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-release tablets, two boxes of Amlodepine Besilate tablets, three boxes of Linou – Gliclazide tablets, two boxes of OTC – Longdan Xiegan pills, four boxes of Zhibai Dihuang pills, one box of Bear Bile powder, 12 boxes Diamicron – Gliclazide tablets and 16 boxes Bayaspirin – Aspirin Enteric-coated tablets.

The medicines, with an estimated market value of PHP15,000, are not registered with the Food and Drug Administration.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9711 (FDA Act of 2009) which prohibits manufacturing, importation, export, sale, distribution and transfer of unregistered drugs.

CIDG chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities related to the sale of unregistered medicines.

A fugitive woman, tagged as the No. 10 most wanted person by the police, was arrested in Muntinlupa on Feb. 1.

The Muntinlupa Police Warrant and Subpoena Unit arrested the suspect, identified as alias Evelyn, 55, a vendor, in Barangay Alabang for a drug case. Evelyn was listed as the No. 10 most wanted person at station level for the first quarter of 2025.

The warrant of arrest for service of sentence was issued by Acting Presiding Judge Desiree Gertrude Orquiola-Moldez of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206 on Jan. 24.

Evelyn was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) under Section 13 (possession of dangerous drugs during parties, social gatherings, or meetings), and Section 14 (possession of equipment, instruments, apparatus, and other paraphernalia for dangerous drugs during parties, social gatherings, or meetings).

She is under the custody of the Muntinlupa Police pending the issuance of a commitment order from the court.

A Chinese national was arrested by the Parañaque City Police for illegal possession of drugs and a replica gun on Friday, Dec. 13.

Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspect as “Yuanbo,” 30. He was arrested by the Tambo Police Substation on D. Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Tambo.

Yang said operatives from Tambo Police Substation were conducting routine patrol when they spotted the suspect on board an illegally parked white Toyota Vios.

Upon approaching the car, Yuanbo rudely instructed the officers to go away. This prompted them to ask for the suspect’s driver’s license and vehicle registration which he has none.

While inspecting Yuanbo’s car, the policemen recovered an airsoft gun between the driver and passenger seat of the vehicle as well as 11 grams of shabu worth P74,800 and a block of marijuana leaves worth P120,000.

Three Chinese nationals were arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation at a condominium in (Barangay) Don Galo, Parañaque City on Sunday night, Dec. 1.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects, identified as alias “Mao,” 41, alias “Wee,” 37, and alias “Hao,” 32, were arrested at around 7:10 p.m. for pointing a gun and threatening to kill a driver identified as alias “Dave,” 33.

Members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation responded after receiving a call from the security personnel of the condominium seeking police assistance.

The victim told the police that he was threatened at gun point by Mao who was being assisted by two other suspects during a heated argument.

The police recovered from Mao a 9mm pistol and one magazine with eight live ammunition.

A robbery suspect was arrested during a manhunt operation conducted by members of the Las Piñas City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section and Station Intelligence Section against wanted persons on Monday, Nov. 18.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla said the suspect, identified as alias “Rodney,” 24, was arrested at around 10:40 a.m. in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said the suspect who was placed as Top 2 wanted person under station level was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor Ramirez Aguba of the Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court, Branch 197 on October 16, 2024. He said Aguba recommended a bail of P100,000.
