Chinese National Rescued In Parañaque City, Foreign Suspects Arrested

Police rescued a Chinese national after receiving a 911 emergency call and arrested two of his compatriots who allegedly held him captive in Parañaque City on Dec. 27.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the victim as Zhenhai, a Chinese national, who was rescued at around 10:40 p.m. inside a condominium unit in Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City. The suspects were identified as Haoxin, 38, and France, 37, both Chinese nationals and residents of Pandacan, Manila.

According to police, a duty officer at the Parañaque City Police Station Tactical Operations Center received a call through the 911 emergency hotline reporting that a Chinese national was being held against his will and threatened at gunpoint for allegedly refusing to pay a P25,000 debt, which he claimed he did not owe.

Personnel from the Parañaque City Police Station Niño Substation immediately responded to the report, leading to the rescue of the victim and the arrest of the two suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were a 9mm caliber pistol without a serial number, one magazine, and nine rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Police arrested a 55-year-old man who attacked his nephew with a samurai sword after being reprimanded for making a loud noise on New Year’s Day in Parañaque City.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as Jerome, who was arrested at around 8:00 a.m. at his residence in Barangay Don Galo.

Police said the suspect and his 25-year-old nephew, who were living in the same house, figured in a heated argument after the victim asked him to keep the noise down as some relatives were resting following the New Year’s Eve celebration.

The suspect allegedly became furious, armed himself with a samurai sword, and attacked the victim. However, family members were able to intervene and prevent further harm.

Responding police officers, with the assistance of barangay watchmen, subdued the suspect and recovered from him a 15-inch-long samurai sword.

Kidnapped Chinese National Rescued In Parañaque City

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local authorities successfully rescued a kidnapped Chinese national and arrested the suspects who were involved, according to a news report by GMA Network.

A 26-year-old Chinese national was rescued in a condominium in Parañaque City after allegedly being kidnapped, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported Sunday.

In a statement, the NCRPO said authorities conducted a rescue operation after they received a report through the PNP Hotline Facebook page.

The victim was found in a condominium unit in Barangay Don Galo on Saturday with four male and one female foreign suspects.

Initial investigation showed that the victim had allegedly been detained since December 9, with suspects demanding P1 million for his release.

The victim said P500,000 had already been handed over. The suspects were placed under police custody for proper investigation.

Woman Arrested in Parañaque City for Deceiving Job Applicant, Accomplice Still at Large

Have you been very careful when applying for a job overseas? Recently in Parañaque City, a woman who deceived an applicant over an overseas job got arrested as a result of a successful entrapment operation by the local police, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

A woman who conned an applicant for a job in the Netherlands and Japan was arrested by the Parañaque City Police in an entrapment operation on July 16.

The suspect was identified as Mary Joyce, 26, while her accomplice, Nellica, remains at large. She was arrested at around 5:20 p.m. along Quirino Avenue, Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

The police said the victim, identified as Jennilyn, 29, reported that the suspects misrepresented themselves that they are connected with Dimension Manpower Agency Inc.

Jennilyn said the two promised her deployment in the Netherlands or in Japan on July 29 and asked for P175,000 as processing fee.

The victim also stated that when asked for an official receipt and update of her deployment, the suspects failed to provide any and instead demanded an additional P16,000 which prompted her to report to the police.

The police said the agency issued a certification notifying Jennilyn that the suspects are not connected with them, which led the police to conduct an entrapment operation.

The police immediately arrested Mary Joyce after receiving two P1,000 bills and 14 pieces of boodle money from the victim.

Three Chinese nationals were arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation at a condominium in (Barangay) Don Galo, Parañaque City on Sunday night, Dec. 1.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects, identified as alias “Mao,” 41, alias “Wee,” 37, and alias “Hao,” 32, were arrested at around 7:10 p.m. for pointing a gun and threatening to kill a driver identified as alias “Dave,” 33.

Members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation responded after receiving a call from the security personnel of the condominium seeking police assistance.

The victim told the police that he was threatened at gun point by Mao who was being assisted by two other suspects during a heated argument.

The police recovered from Mao a 9mm pistol and one magazine with eight live ammunition.

Three foreign nationals were arrested in a shooting incident that wounded a Chinese national in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Thursday.

In a report, SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as alias Shi, 31, and alias Sui, 33, both Chinese nationals, and alias Edwin, 39, a Cameroonian.

They were arrested after a shooting incident occurred at a residential complex in Barangay Don Galo on Wednesday morning.

The victim, a money changer employee residing in the complex, identified as alias Li, a 35-year-old Chinese national, sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment at the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay City.

He identified the suspects to the police, leading to a swift operation that resulted in the arrest of Shi, Sui, and Edwin.

During the arrest of the suspects, operatives seized 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1.2 million, a 9mm Glock 19 pistol, one magazine, ten live ammunition, two empty shells, one bullet slug, three butane gas canisters, and two pointed weapons.

A Chinese national was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his friend during a heated arguement in Parañaque City on Wednesday night, October 16.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as “Liu,”32. Liu was arrested at around 8:10 p.m. near a hotel in Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

Based on the police investigation, the suspect had a heated argument with his compatriot identified as “Fang” while inside a vehicle driven by “Mark.”

Mark reportedly stopped the vehicle and sought assistance to some bystanders. Luckily, officers from the Parañaque Police Station Investigation and Detective Management Unit (SIDMU) who were conducting an operation near the area heard the commotion and responded to it.

Upon arrival, the officers witnessed Fang and Mark who had already subdued the suspect and were able to get hold of a pistol which Liu allegedly pointed to Fang.

Police recovered the .9mm pistol with five live ammunition from the suspect who failed to show any documents on the firearm.

Woman hit by car in Parañaque City, suspect driver a Pakistani national

Recently in the city of Parañaque, a 49-year-old woman got hit by a car from behind resulting in very serious injuries, according to a GMA Network news report. A 49-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident while walking to work as a laundry woman in Don Bosco, Parañaque last week.

Victim Loida Faustino was seen in CCTV footage walking along Levitown Avenue last Friday morning, August 23, 2024, when she was hit by a red vehicle that fled the scene after the incident. She was immediately brought to a nearby hospital.

“Grabe po ‘yung nangyari sa kanya. Bali po ‘yung tuhod, kamay, katawan, ulo (What happened to her is severe. She had broken knees, hands, in the body, and in the head),” the victim’s brother Arnold Faustino said in a report by Nico Waje on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday.

The family is seeking justice for what happened, and for the suspect — only identified as a Pakistani — to take responsibility.

“May anak ‘yun. Hindi makakapagtrabaho ‘yun. Hindi puwedeng hindi siya managot sa nangyari na ‘yun, (She has a child and she will not be able to work. The suspect has to take responsibility for what happened)” the victim’s brother-in-law Samuel Celzo said in the same report.

According to Barangay Don Bosco Chairman Mar Jimenez, the suspect was immediately apprehended after the incident.

“Upon apprehension, medyo meron siyang alcohol breath so lumalabas na (Upon apprehension, his breath smelled slightly of alcohol. So it shows that he was) under the influence of liquor,” he said.

However, the local police said medical examinations and a breathalyzer analysis gave negative results.

The suspect was identified as “Hipolito,” who was arrested in Quirino Avenue, Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

The police said the suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Moises D. De Castro of Parañaque City Family Court, Branch 10 on June 4, 2024 with no bail recommended bail.

A Chinese national was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation after he was caught in possession of two .45-caliber pistols on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Police said the suspect, identified as “Jung”, was nabbed at around 12:50 a.m. in front of a hotel on Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

A concerned citizen sought help from Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officers after seeing the suspect with a gun while on board a pickup truck. They then asked for assistance from the police to apprehend Jung.

The police said that upon their arrival in the area, the suspect immediately threw his gun into the back of his vehicle.

The suspect was arrested after police recovered from him two .45-caliber pistols with 13 live bullets.

He was immediately brought and detained at the Parañaque Police custodial facility.
