Authorities arrested a high-value individual (HVI) wanted for illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as alias Efer, 35, was arrested at around 2:15 a.m. in Sitio Kawayanan, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City.

The police confiscated 527 grams of shabu worth P353,600, a coin purse, P500 buy-bust money, and a cellphone from Efer.

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local police officers dismantled a suspected drug den and apprehended four suspects connected with the place, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

Authorities dismantled a suspected drug den in Parañaque City and arrested four drug suspects, one of them tagged by the police as a high-value individual (HVI).

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as Reynaldo, the HVI; Joshua, 27; Jastine Joy, 27; and Joanna Mae, 27, identified by the police as street-level individuals.

The police said the suspects were arrested in El Durado, Sitio Payatas, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City. Confiscated from them was P394,000 worth of shabu.

Members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation following a tip that the said area was being frequented by users and being used as a drug den.

Confiscated from the suspects were 58 grams of shabu worth P394,000, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects were detained at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility and charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Ten men arrested in Parañaque City for cutting underground cables of a telecommunications company

Recently in the City of Parañaque, ten men were arrested by the police after they were caught cutting the underground cables of a telecommunications firm in Barangay Don Bosco, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. Recovered from the suspects were 600 pairs of cut underground copper cable (around 106 meters each), a claw bar, an improvised hook and a closed van to name some.

Authorities from the Paranaque City Police arrested 10 men who were caught in the act of cutting underground cables of a telecommunications provider in violation of Republic Act No. 10515 or the Anti-Cable Theft Law.

The suspects were identified as “Jayson,” 33; “Cris,” 32; “Roger,” 32; “John,” 29; “Calixto,” 26; “Mark,” 23; “John,” 22; “Marlo,” 21; “Jiric,” 21; and “Rogelio,” 19, all residents of Tondo, Manila. Two other suspects evaded arrest.

The police said the suspects were arrested at around 3:30 a.m. in front of the TCL Authorized Service Center located along France St., Barangay Don Bosco, Paranaque City, by members of the Paranaque City Police Don Bosco Substation.

Operatives from Paranaque City Police Don Bosco Substation were reportedly conducting routine patrol when they noticed a suspicious closed van and, upon their approach, the group of men cutting cable wires tried to flee but were prevented with the assistance of Barangay Don Bosco officials.

The police said coordination with the telecommunications providers showed that there was no authorized repair or maintenance work in the area, leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Cops arrest suspects behind killing of used car dealer in Parañaque City

Recently in Parañaque City, local police officers apprehended two suspects who allegedly were involved in the killing of a used car dealer, according to a Malaya Business Insight news report. They have since been charged with murder and there were witnesses who positively identified them.

OPERATIVES of the Paranaque police have arrested two suspects in the killing of a second-hand car dealer in the city during a meet-up arranged via Facebook.

Southern Police District Acting Director Brig. General Joseph Arguelles said the two suspects were apprehended 24 hours after the killing in a pursuit operation by the Paranaque police in Bernardo Compound, Barangay Don Bosco.

Information provided by the SPD showed that two individuals posing as buyers shot and killed the 32-year-old victim when they met at around 11:50 p.m. last May 4 in front of the South Super Hi-way Medical Center in Barangay Marcelo Green Village. The victim was supposed to show them a car that they said they were interested in buying.

Arguelles said that after shooting the victim at close range, the suspects fled the scene, one riding off with the victim’s gray Nissan Terra sports utility vehicle, while his companion used a motorcycle.

“Investigators quickly gathered leads through digital backtracking and witness accounts,” Arguelles said, adding police later recovered the abandoned Nissan Terra and the getaway motorcycle in Barangay Don Bosco.

In the same area where the victim’s vehicle and the motorcycle were found, police operatives discovered three individuals engaged in a pot session and seized from them a caliber 45 pistol and illegal drugs.

“During custodial interrogation, the three revealed the identities of the gunmen as alias Jovillo and alias Ryan,” Arguelles said, adding they were arrested at “exactly 11:50 in the evening of May 5 after the killing.”

Police seized two unlicensed firearms and around 15 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P102,000.

“Witnesses also positively identified the two as the perpetrators of the shooting and robbery,” the SPD chief said.

A woman tagged by the police as a high value individual (HVI) and her five cohorts were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Parañaque City Police last March 29.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as alias “Anne,” 43, alias “Maite,” 45; alias “Donna,” 31; alias “Peter,” 28; alias “Darwin,” 47 and alias “Jeffrey,” 33.

The police said members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted the buy-bust operation at around 5:30 p.m. in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City due to the reported proliferation of illegal drugs in the area.

Authorities seized multiple sachets containing 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, P500 buy-bust money, two mobile phones containing drug transactions, and other drug paraphernalia.

Another crime news piece related to Parañaque for you all. This time it was reported by the Philippine News Agency (PNA) and it is about the illegal act of selling rapid test kits related to COVID-19. The illegal sale happened in Parañaque City, specifically in Barangay Don Bosco.

Three individuals were arrested for the illegal sale of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) rapid test kits in Parañaque City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.

PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, citing a report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, identified the suspects as Ace Dimaplis, Charisse Purino, and Aldrin Bacaran who were arrested in an entrapment operation in Barangay Don Bosco on Tuesday.

The operation stemmed from reports of the sale of illegally marketed medical devices such as Wondfo antigen rapid test kits which are placed in advertisements in illegal online selling websites.

A poseur-buyer ordered online 250 boxes of Wondfo rapid test kit, with each box containing 20 sets, amounting to PHP1.2 million pesos.

Recovered during the operation were assorted volumes of unauthorized rapid test kits worth PHP4 million, one magazine for .40 caliber pistol, various kinds of ammunition, two sets of caliper, a digital reloading scale, and smokeless gunpowder.

Meanwhile, the suspects failed to show to the operatives their license to operate (LTO) or special permit to sell and distribute the test kits with regards to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Circular No. 2020-016 and authority to possess gun reloader and live ammunition.

“Further investigation reveals that the arrested suspects were sub-leaders of Chinese online groups who were involved in illegal online selling of unauthorized Covid-19 rapid test kit(s),” Eleazar said.

The report ended stating that the suspects were brought to the police force in Quezon City for appropriate documentation and the formal filing of cases related to violating Republic Act Number 9711 (Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009 in relation to FDA Circular No. 2020-016) and Republic Act Number 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
