Recently in the City of Las Piñas, school supplies were released by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) to one thousand six hundred persons with disabilities (PWDs) and their families, according to the social media post of the City Government. Vice Mayor April Aguilar led the distribution of materials.
To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the City Government’s social media announcement. Some parts in boldface…
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Las Piñas City successfully conducted the Distribution of Educational Assistance through School Supplies for Persons with Disabilities and Their Families on Thursday, December 5, at the Verdant Covered Court in Pamplona Tres. The initiative benefited 1,600 individuals, aiming to support educational needs and promote inclusivity in the community.
The event provided essential school supplies, including backpacks and educational materials, ensuring that beneficiaries and their families have access to tools for learning. This program reflects the city’s commitment to supporting persons with disabilities through practical initiatives.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar led the distribution, joined by City Councilors Mark Anthony Santos and Henry Medina. Alelee Aguilar was also present to express her support for the welfare of marginalized sectors.
Let me end this piece by asking you readers: If you are a resident of Las Piñas City, what is your reaction to this development? Has the CSWDO released any school supplies to the PWDs of your local community?
