Recently in the City of Parañaque, a successful buy-bust operation by the local police resulted in the arrests of an online seller and two others for selling shabu, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. The suspects were apprehended within Barangay San Dionisio.

A woman online seller and two others were arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for selling shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted on Tuesday, March 5.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as alias Weng, 30, an online seller; alias Jerico, 27; and alias Erwin, 40.

The SPD said the suspects were arrested at around 6:15 a.m. along Draga St., Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

The police said alias Weng and alias Jerico were tagged by the Parañaque city police as high value individuals (HVI) while alias Erwin was placed under Street Level Individual (SLI).

Recovered from the arrested suspects were 125 grams of shabu worth P850,000 and the P1,000 buy-bust money. The police said the recovered evidence from the suspect was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) for analysis.

Recently in the City of Parañaque, a woman (mother of two) was shot dead by a gunman in front of a coffee shop in Barangay San Dionisio. Shortly after the killing, the suspect surrendered voluntarily to the local authorities, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The suspect in the shooting to death of a 43-year-old woman in front of a coffee shop in Parañaque City on Feb. 15 voluntary surrendered to the police on the same day.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspect identified as alias “Cafgu” voluntary surrendered to the officers of San Dionisio Police Substation at around 11:00 p.m.

The SPD said the suspect was accompanied by his relatives when he yielded to the police. He was immediately turned over the Parañaque Police Investigation Section.

The police filed a murder case against the suspect for killing Yolanda, 43, at around 6:00 p.m. in front of a coffee shop on Palanyag Road in Gatchalian, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

The victim was with her two sons and was about to board their car when the suspect approached and shot her several times in the head.

Yolanda was declared dead on arrival at the Olivarez Hospital.

Police investigators said the two sons of the victim positively identified the suspect as the one who shot their mother.

During investigation, police learned the suspect’s licenses to own and possess firearms had expired on March 11, 2022.

Recently in the City of Parañaque, a man was shot dead in front of a restaurant in Barangay Baclaran, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. As captured on CCTV footage, the suspect walked away in a casual manner and is still on the loose.

A man was shot dead while waiting for his dinner to be served in front of a restaurant in Parañaque City, Thursday night, Feb. 15.

The victim, identified as alias Jun, was shot dead at around 7:45 p.m. in front of a restaurant located along E. Rodriguez St., Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City.

Parañaque City police chief Col. Reycon Garduque said the victim reportedly ordered food and was waiting for it to be served when an unidentified man approached him and shot him twice at the back of his head.

Garduque said the victim died on the spot due to two gunshot wounds.

He said the victim was reportedly working as an E-Trike driver. He was previously detained for his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.

The gunman was reportedly wearing a black jacket, black cap, and shorts.

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local law enforcers armed with a warrant of arrest apprehended a man in Barangay San Dionisio in relation to charges of four counts of rape, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. The suspect has since been detained at a local police facility.

A courier facing charges for four counts of rape was arrested by members of the Parañaque City police Warrant and Subpoena Unit (WSU) on Monday, Feb. 5.

The Southern Police District reported the arrest of alias Arnold, 32, tagged by the police as the No. 1 wanted person under station level at around 2:15 p.m. along Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City. 

Members of the WSU arrested the suspect by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Moises Domingo De Castro of Family Court Branch 10, Parañaque City, on Jan. 17, 2024, for four counts of rape.

De Castro recommended a bail of P200,000 for each count.

113 people avail of health services in Tahanan Village

This past Sunday (February 11) inside Tahanan Village, Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City, over one hundred people availed of varied health services at the poolside area of the Tahanan Homeowners Association (THA) clubhouse as a result of the newest health check activity of the Century Club of Tahanan, Inc. (CCTI) headed by its President Florencia Umali.

According to Umali, a total of 113 people arrived, paid fees for the special health package or other individual health services, and then joined the lines to be served. The activity lasted from 5:30 AM to 10AM and blood test results will be released on February 18.

Several people availed of the special diagnostic package worth P350 which includes Electrocardiogram (ECG), fasting blood sugar (FBS), total cholesterol, blood urea nitrogen, uric acid, CBC, urinalysis, SGPT and free platelet count. There were other tests offered with prices ranging from P150 to P800.

According to CCTI President Flor Umali, this is where the blood extraction and male ECG happened.

When asked about when will the health check activity inside Tahanan Village happen next, the CCTI president said it might take place during the 3rd quarter of 2024.

Recently in the city of Parañaque, local police officers arrested a Chinese national for illegally possessing two guns and several pieces of ammunition, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. The arrest took place in Barangay Don Galo.

A Chinese national was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police Sto. Nino Substation after he was caught in possession of two .45-caliber pistols on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Police said the suspect, identified as “Jung”, was nabbed at around 12:50 a.m. in front of a hotel on Macapagal Boulevard in Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

A concerned citizen sought help from Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officers after seeing the suspect with a gun while on board a pickup truck. They then asked for assistance from the police to apprehend Jung.

The police said that upon their arrival in the area, the suspect immediately threw his gun into the back of his vehicle.

The suspect was arrested after police recovered from him two .45-caliber pistols with 13 live bullets.

He was immediately brought and detained at the Parañaque Police custodial facility.

Two alleged members of a gang that robbed P134 million from Skyway motorists apprehended by police

If you have been traveling along the Metro Manila Skyway, did you notice gang-related activities along the way? I had to ask that question because it turns out a certain gang composed of people who wore hoodies and bonnets and wielded axes had committed acts of robbery along the Skyway more than once and reportedly robbed P134 million from motorists. Very recently, two alleged members of the gang were arrested by the police, according to a GMA Network news report.

Police arrested two suspects from a group of ax-wielding men preying on motorists in the Skyway who have stolen over P134 million from their victims.

According to a report by John Consulta on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, two suspects have been arrested in separate police operations.

 Last August 22, dashcam footage showed the suspects robbing a car along the Skyway ramp at 5:30 p.m. in broad daylight. Armed with axes and wearing bonnets and hoodies, the men used their vehicle to block another car and robbed its occupants of P10 million.

On March 12, another video showed a car suddenly stop in front of the victim’s car while another vehicle blocked it from behind. Four armed men emerged and stole a bag containing P7 million from the Korean victim.

“Dito sa Entertainment City (sa Paranaque City) nanggagaling, aabangan nila, pagpasok ng Skyway mismo, iipitin nila yung sasakyan. Passenger side na salamin pinalakol nila then nabuksan nila yung pinto, nakuha nila yung pera,” said Police Colonel Mendez, NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division Chief.

Police traced one of the suspects behind the attack in Malate, Manila. During the operation on Tuesday, suspect Anjo Sardoma tried to escape by jumping from the third floor of a building.

Police seized a revolver and a hand grenade from Sardoma,.who was identified as the driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) outside a casino hotel where one of the victims came from. The SUV was one of the vehicles involved in a robbery on the Skyway.

Armed with a search warrant, a team from Police Regional Office-4-A arrested another suspect, Joland Cabotaje, in Cavite. A gun was confiscated from Cabotaje.

The NCRPO said Cabotaje and Sardoma are cousins who are said to be members of the “Skyway Robbery Holdup Group” that has staged eight robberies that yielded P134 million in loot.

Mendez said their intelligence efforts managed to identify the group whose vehicle license plates matched those on the CCTV of the cars that were used in the previous robberies.

Both men denied the accusations against them.

A Vietnamese national was arrested by members of the  Parañaque City Police Station Drug and Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect was identified as a certain Le. He was arrested at around 8:85 p.m. along Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

Recovered from him were five grams of shabu worth P34,000; three plastic sachets containing 18 tablets suspected to be ecstasy worth P30,000, and three grams of powdered ketamine worth P15,000.

The recovered drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Recently in the City of Parañaque, three Chinese nationals were arrested for causing trouble (note: alarm and scandal), according to a Manila Bulletin news report. The incident happened in Barangay Tambo and someone alerted the local authorities.

Three Chinese nationals engaged in a fist fight and causing trouble were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The suspects were identified as alias Lin, 22; Mi, 30; and Li, 37. 

The police said the suspects were arrested at around 3:17 a.m. in front of a KTV Bar located along Quirino Avenue, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

The police said a certain Denson chanced upon the suspects engaged in a fist fight and causing trouble in front of a KTV Bar.

Denson told the police that he tried to pacify the suspects but they continued with their unruly behavior that prompted him to call for assistance from barangay watchmen Percival Narag and  Renato Mendoza.

Recently in the city of Parañaque, two Chinese nationals and their local cohorts were arrested for allegedly committing carnapping, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

A Filipino businesswoman, her cohort and two Chinese men were arrested for alleged carnapping on Sunday, Nov. 12, in Parañaque City.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspects were identified as “Krizzia,” 27, businesswoman; “Leavida,” 28; “Xing,” 32, businessman, and “Huang,” 39.

The suspects were arrested at around 11:40 p.m. at Casiana Residences in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

The report showed that the suspects were spotted by the condominium’s officer-in-charge (OIC) on board a stolen vehicle, a black BMW X-3, which was reported missing on Nov. 2.

The condominium OIC immediately flagged down the vehicle and called for police assistance, leading to their arrest.

They were brought to the police custodial facility for detention.
