Recently the City Government of Muntinlupa was recognized and commended by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The Muntinlupa City government earned recognition and commendations from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The PCCI gave the Muntinlupa City government a special recognition at the 2023 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards.

The city government also received eight major commendations at the 2023 Urban Governance Exemplar Awards organized by DILG.

“Indeed, we have many, many reasons to be proud of our city. But most of all, we are very grateful for the validation of our efforts to make life better for all Muntinlupeños. Mabuhay tayo!” said Mayor Ruffy Biazon.

The city government earned the special citation from the PCCI for its continuing commitment to excellence in business transactions, such as the multi-awarded Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) system.

It can be recalled that Muntinlupa has been recognized several times by the PCCI as the Most Business-Friendly LGU in the country for its innovative and people-centric approach to business transactions.

Las Piñas City receives 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping from DILG

The City Government of Las Piñas is off to a happy start for 2022 as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) awarded their city the 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping in recognition of their fiscal accountability, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. It was Mayor Imelda Aguilar who announced the news.

Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar announced that the city received the 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH) from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Aguilar said the DILG recognized the city government’s efforts on sustained good practices in fiscal accountability and transparency in local governance.

Based on the recommendation of the DILG-Bureau of Local Government Supervision (DILG-BLGS), Las Pinas City was among the three cities given the DILG’s 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping . The other two cities are Makati and Muntinlupa.

The mayor said the recognition was certified and approved by the DILG-National Capital Region (NCR) on Nov. 5, 2021.

The criteria was based on the most recent available COA Audit Opinion and compliance with full disclosure policy, according to Maria Lourdes Agustin, DILG Regional Director.

The other day, the City of Las Piñas added another honor to its list achievements as their Mayor Imelda Aguilar was honored by the Regional Peace and Order Council-National Capital Region (RPOC-NCR) with a mark of recognition. It was accepted by her and Vice Mayor April Aguilar-Nery.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar formally accepted the “Mark of Recognition” from the RPOC-NCR or Regional Peace and Order Council-National Capital Region in recognition of their invaluable perseverance and ensuring order and safety in the face of health crisis caused by COVID-19.

Las Piñeros are still strongly reminded to always follow the minimum health standards and maintain discipline at all times.
