Chinese fugitive denied entry into Philippines, gets deported to China

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced that it prevented a Chinese fugitive from entering the country and proceeded to deport him to China, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

A Chinese fugitive was barred entry to the Philippines and deported to China where he is wanted for illegal gambling activities, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Sunday, June 9.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the fugitive as Wang Yilin, 37, who was intercepted by immigration officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 last May 29 following his arrival from Bangkok, Thailand.

“We granted the request of the Chinese embassy that he be sent back to China and stand trial for his alleged crimes,” Tansingco said.

Wang was deported last May 31 and was accompanied by Chinese police escorts, the BI said. He was also included in the BI’s blacklist and perpetually barred from entering the Philippines, it said.

The bureau said “a warrant for Wang’s arrest was issued by the Bengbu municipal public security bureau in Anhui province, China on Sept. 28 last year.”

Recently in the City of Parañaque, police officers arrested a man who has been wanted for the crime of murder, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

Parañaque City police arrested the Southern Police District’s (SPD’s) top most wanted person for the crime of murder last May 17.

The SPD said the suspect, alias Love Singh, 24, listed in the police gallery as top most wanted person for the month of May was nabbed at around 9:30 p.m. in Barangay Sun Valley, Parañaque City.

Singh was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Ma. Christina De Pio Lim of Parañaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 296 on March 20, 2024, with no bail recommended.

A person of Parañaque City wanted for the crime of rape was arrested by police officers in the province of Quirino, according to a Manila Bulletin news report. It turns out, the suspect is among the Top 10 most wanted persons of the city.

A man wanted for rape by sexual assault and rape and tagged as the sixth most wanted person in Parañaque City was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 24, in Quirino Province.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the Parañaque police identified the suspect as Marcial Sante, who was arrested at around 4:00 p.m. in Barangay Gulac, Diffun, Quirino Province.

The Parañaque police reported that a tracker team from the Don Bosco substation coordinated with the Quirino Province Mobile Force Company on the arrest of Sante.

Sante was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Madeline Bona Mendoza of Parañaque Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Branch 87 and Judge Leilani Marie Dacanay of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 294 for rape by sexual assault and rape on August 1.

Most wanted person of Las Piñas City arrested in Quezon City

Recently police officers organized a manhunt operation that resulted in the arrest of a man who was described as the most wanted person Las Piñas City, the Manila Bulletin reported. The suspect was apprehended in Quezon City.

A man wanted by the police for statutory rape and acts of lasciviousness was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) of the Las Piñas police in Quezon City on Tuesday, March 14.

According to city police chief, Col. Jaime Santos, members of the WSS conducted a manhunt operation for the arrest of the suspect identified as Francis Sarmiento, 33.

Sarmiento was tagged as the most wanted person in Las Piñas.

Sarmiento was arrested around 1:30 p.m. along Acacia Street, Vista Real Executive Village in Barangay Matandang Balara, Quezon City.

Santos said Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray of the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 202 issued the warrant of arrest on Sarmiento, who was charged with statutory rape and acts of lasciviousness with a recommended bail of P400,000 for the acts of lasciviousness and no bail for statutory rape.
