Individuals with properties acquired by the City Government of Muntinlupa under “Public Auction Sale” have a chance to buy back their properties but only until the end of the month.
Under City Ordinance 2021-206, the redemption period for properties acquired by the City Government of Muntinlupa for want of bidders for auction years 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 is extended until June 30, 2021.
This extension is an amendment to a former ordinance approved by the Muntinlupa City Council setting the deadline for the redemption of properties on December 31, 2020.
The City Government has approved the extension of deadline since most of the auctioned and acquired properties were small in area and a government project is not practicable to be ventured into such properties.
Further, funds collected from the auctioned properties will be used for the local COVID-19 response. In an initial report, approximately P55 million may be collected from the auctioned properties when delinquent property owners are given further extension to redeem.
The City Treasurer’s Office – Muntinlupa released an announcement in social media and posted posters and tarpaulins in conspicuous places informing the public about the deadline.

As Tropical Storm Dante moves northwestward towards Luzon, Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi convened the Local Disaster Risk Response and Management (LDRRM) Council to discuss preparation and response efforts.
The mayor presided the LDRRM council meeting yesterday and ordered barangay chairmen to prepare for the preemptive evacuation of residents in danger-prone areas and implement disaster risk response protocols. He also ordered the city and barangay risk reduction and management teams to be put on red-alert.
The City Government is preparing for the prepositioning of emergency response resources and equipment such as generator sets, rescue boats, emergency vehicles including government flexi-trucks, search and rescue equipment, among others.
Pruning of trees along dangerous areas are also being prepared by the local environmental sanitation center. Construction sites are set to be inspected to ensure safety precautions on cranes and construction booms while billboards in the city are being rolled up.
According to the 11:00AM weather bulletin of DOST-PAGASA, Tropical Storm Dante has made landfall at San Agustin, Romblon at around 8:50 AM and will continue moving northwestward passing Batangas before making another landfall over Bataan tonight.
TS Dante is forecasted to bring moderate to heavy rains in Metro Manila and will maintain its strength until it makes landfall over mainland Luzon.
The Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (MCDDRM) advised city residents to be vigilant and monitor advisories from PAG-ASA and the local government.

The City Government of Muntinlupa officially started providing at-home COVID-19 vaccination services for bedridden residents and individuals who are not capable of travelling to the city’s major vaccination sites.
Muntinlupa City Health Office recorded 84 individuals from Brgy. Sucat, Brgy. Putatan, and Brgy. Tunasan who were vaccinated in their homes for the initial rollout of the house-to-house vaccination service as of yesterday. The CHO expects more requests for at-home service in the coming days.
The local health office also launched a pilot drive-thru vaccination service to accommodate more vaccine takers and decongest local major vaccination sites.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi says the City Government, through the CHO and in partnership with the barangays, continues to expand the local vaccination program through the house-to-house vaccination services and installation of drive-thru vaccination centers. Fresnedi added that the City Government is targeting to finish vaccinating 385,000 eligible residents by November to achieve herd immunity.

As of May 24, a total of 41,443 residents received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, of which 15,394 have received their second dose. For those inoculated with their first dose, 22,011 received Sinovac, 12,994 were inoculated with AstraZeneca, 2,979 with Gamaleya’s Sputnik V, and 3,507 with Pfizer-BioNTech.
Walk-ins in the city’s major vaccination sites including Ayala Malls South Park, Festival Mall UGF Covered Parking, SM Muntinlupa, and Sucat Covered Court will not be accommodated. Only those who are registered online will be given schedule in the major vaccination sites and will be notified via SMS. Further, Brgy. Brgy. Sucat captain Raffy Sevilla added that the raffle is the barangay’s gesture to thank the residents for their cooperation in the government’s vaccination program.
Muntinlupa City has 12,695 confirmed cases with 11,703 recoveries, 651 active cases, 341 reported deaths, 119 suspect cases, and 1,971 probable cases as of May 25.

The City Government of Muntinlupa formally launched their rollout of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines in major vaccination sites and set a goal to max out the supply by May 18 due to the sensitivity of the vaccines.
Muntinlupa City Health Office has started to inoculate healthcare frontliners, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities with COVAX-donated Pfizer vaccines on May 14. At least 700 residents are set to receive their jab in the first day of the rollout.
The local health office targets to administer the first batch of Pfizer vaccines in major vaccination sites until May 18 upon recommendation from authorities to only use the vaccines 5 days upon unpacking. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is administered as a series of two doses 3 weeks apart.
Muntinlupa initially received 1,170 vials (7,020 doses) of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines from the Department of Health. This is part of the first batch of 193,050 doses secured by the national government through the World Health Organization (WHO)-led COVAX Facility.

To date, 77,323 residents have already signed up for the city’s immunization campaign.
Fresnedi also assured the public of the local government’s preparedness for the cold-chain management of the temperature-sensitive vaccines. The vaccines are stored in the local government’s partner storage facility Royal Cargo Logistics Center in Barangay Cupang.
Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines need to be stored at a temperature of -70 to -80 degrees Celsius.
Last May 13, DOH and National Vaccination Operations Center executives visited a simulation activity for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines in Muntinlupa at Ayala Malls South Park, Alabang.

While the City Government of Muntinlupa maxed out its supply of Sputnik V, one week after the city received the Russia-made vaccines, it has received an additional supply of 48,000 vials of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government.
Muntinlupa Public Information Office said that the City Health Office (CHO) has finished inoculating residents from priority groups with Sputnik V last May 11 as supplies were already utilized.
According to CHO, there are 2,979 who were inoculated with Sputnik V as of May 11. In total, there are 28,635 city residents who were inoculated with their first dose in the city, of which 21,474 received Sinovac, 4,182 inoculated with AstraZeneca, and 2,979 were vaccinated with Sputnik V.
Last May 5, a ceremonial roll-out of Sputnik V Gam-COVID-Vac vaccines was launched at Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) Field Tent and Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) for healthcare frontliners, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities.
Further, the national government delivered an additional 16,800 vials of AstraZeneca and 31,200 vials of Sinovac to Muntinlupa City Health Office on May 11.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi thanked the national government for the allocation of COVID-19 vaccines to Muntinlupa and said it will boost the local vaccination program as more residents line up to receive their jab.
Fresnedi said the City Government eyes to open more major vaccination centers in the city in addition to other community vaccination sites. The major vaccination hubs in Muntinlupa are located in Brgy. Sucat Covered Court, Filinvest Alabang Steel Parking, SM Center Muntinlupa Open Parking Area, Brgy. Tunasan, and Ayala Malls South Park, Brgy. Alabang.
The local exec also assured the public of the City Government’s preparedness for the cold-chain management of the anticipated arrival of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines. Muntinlupa expects to receive 7,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines.
Upon delivery, Pfizer vaccines are set to be directly stored in the City Government’s partner storage facility, Royal Cargo Logistics in Barangay Cupang. Due to the sensitive cold-chain management requirement of Pfizer vaccines, it will be initially administered in Ospital ng Muntinlupa and Asian Hospital and Medical Center.
Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines need to be stored at a temperature of -70 to -80 degrees Celsius. Last May 10, the country received 193,050 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine through the World Health Organization (WHO)-led COVAX Facility.
As of May 11, Muntinlupa City has 12,039 confirmed cases with 10,589 recoveries, 1,136 active cases, 314 reported deaths, 76 suspect cases, and 915 probable cases. While the case doubling time is at 31.07 days while recovery rate is at 87.72% as of May 10. Doubling time refers to the number of days for local coronavirus cases to double in number. The standard rate of transmission should be at 7-30 days to be considered decelerating.

The liquor ban in Muntinlupa City is has officially been lifted but with restrictions for the duration of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) and other less stringent community quarantines as may be declared by the national government.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi approved City Ordinance No. 2021-232 lifting the liquor ban in the city with provisions on regulation and limitations for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Under the local ordinance, city residents can only consume alcoholic beverages within their private residence. Social drinking involving individuals not living in the same residence shall still be strictly prohibited.
The sale of liquor and other intoxicating beverages shall only be during 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and will only be limited to Muntinlupa residents.
Consumption or drinking liquor in public places such as restaurants and other commercial establishments permitted to operate by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) shall be regulated: beer – maximum of 2 bottles, hard drinks – maximum of 2 glasses, and for wine and whiskey – maximum of two glasses.
Business establishments who will violate the ordinance shall be meted with the following penalties: closure of one week for first offense and revocation of business permit for second offense.
Further, violating persons who are sellers shall receive P2,000 penalty for first offense and P5,000 for second offense, while those who are buyers will be penalized with P2,500 for their first offense and P5,000 for second offense.
Members of the Muntinlupa City Police Station, Public Order and Safety Office, City Security Office, Muntinlupa Traffic and Management Bureau, Business Permit and Licensing Office, Barangay Chairpersons and their personnel, and other deputized individuals will conduct inspections in commercial establishments to ensure that the local ordinance is followed.
The City Government warns beneficiaries of the emergency assistance from the DSWD that they are prohibited to use their cash aid to purchase liquor or any alcoholic beverage. The public is encouraged to report violators for proper action.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi reminds city residents that the lifting of liquor ban is for economic reasons and that the health and safety of the public should not be compromised.
“COVID-19 is still an imminent threat so I urge everyone to be responsible and to continue observing health protocols even as quarantine measures and the liquor ban are relaxed in the implementation of MECQ,” Fresnedi said.
As of May 5, Muntinlupa City has 11,585 confirmed cases with 10,127 recoveries, 1,154 active cases, 304 reported deaths, 168 suspect cases, and 988 probable cases.

The City Government of Muntinlupa officially launched the ceremonial roll-out of Sputnik V Gam-COVID-Vac vaccines for senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and other frontline workers from specific groups yesterday morning.
The ceremonial roll-out was held at Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) Field Tent and Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) Tower 2 Rotunda Parking Space. At least 250 members of A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (persons with comorbidities) priority groups were set to receive their first dose of Sputnik V at OsMun, while 130 individuals from A2 and A3 priority groups were prepared for inoculation at AHMC.

Only the pre-registered residents in the local COVID-19 Vaccination Registration System will be inoculated with Sputnik V in OsMun and AHMC. Residents will receive a message from the local health office for their schedule and no walk-ins will be accommodated in the vaccination areas in OsMun and AHMC. Muntinlupa residents are encouraged to register themselves for vaccination via www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac.
MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos lauded the City Government’s preparedness as well as its strong partnership with the private sector for the local vaccination program. Abalos recognized the role of Muntinlupa’s partnership with AHMC in encouraging more people to get inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines.
Special Envoy to the Russian Federation Olivia Limpe-Aw said Muntinlupa met the stringent storage and handling requirements to be selected as one of the pilot sites for the roll-out of Sputnik V.

Muntinlupa received three thousand doses of Sputnik V on May 3 and are being stored in OsMun and AHMC’s -18 degrees Celsius temperature storage facilities. With the cold-chain management requirement of the vaccine, members of priority group in the city will be inoculated in OsMun and Asian Hospital. The vaccine is to be administered in two doses 3 weeks apart.
This past May 1, fifteen thousand doses of Sputnik V were delivered to the country by a Qatar Airways flight from Moscow via Doha. The initial doses will be divided among five cities in Metro Manila: Taguig, Manila, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Makati.

Muntinlupa City has 11,513 confirmed cases with 9,924 recoveries, 1,288 active cases, 299 reported deaths, 169 suspect cases, and 980 probable cases as of May 4.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi expresses his thanks to the National Task Force Against COVID-19 for allocating some of the county’s initial supply of Sputnik V to Muntinlupa and selecting the city as one of the pilot sites for the roll-out of the Russia-made vaccines.
“We are grateful to the national government for donating COVID-19 vaccines to Muntinlupa and the additional supply will help our ongoing vaccination program. As more vaccines arrive in the city, more residents can be inoculated to reach the target herd immunity,” Fresnedi said.
Muntinlupa expects to receive the 3,000 doses which will be stored in -18 degrees Celsius temperature storage facilities of Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) and Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

The City Government of Muntinlupa opened yesterday its third major vaccination hub in a shopping mall’s open parking space, in addition to existing community vaccination centers, to encourage more residents to get their COVID-19 jab.
At least 500 vaccine takers are expected to be accommodated in the Filinvest Alabang – Steel Deck Parking (in front of Crimson Hotel), the city’s third major vaccination hub. Mayor Jaime Fresnedi and other Filinvest officials led the opening of the vaccination hub.

The City Government clarifies that only residents from the A2 (Senior Citizens) and A3 (Persons with Comorbidities) priority groups who received a text message and confirmed for their assigned schedule will be accommodated. Walk-ins will not be entertained in the major vaccination hub.
Senior citizens are advised to bring a valid ID and medical clearance if they have comorbidities. For residents under the A3 (persons with comorbidities) priority group, they are enjoined to provide a valid ID and any proof of comorbidity such as: medical certificate from an attending physician, prescription for medicines, hospital records such as the discharge summary and medical abstract, surgical records and pathology reports, or any other proof that may indicate eligibility.
Other officials joining the opening of the city’s third major vaccination hub include: Coun. Allan Camilon, Coun. Ryan Bagatsing, City Health Officer Dr. Juancho Bunyi, Filinvest Alabang Inc Vice President Don Ubaldo, Filinvest Property Management VP Cesar Francisco and Filinvest Retail and Commercial SVP Joselito Santos.
Recently, other major vaccination hub were launched at SM Center Muntinlupa Open Parking Area, Brgy. Tunasan last April 27 and Ayala Malls South Park, Brgy. Alabang last April 24.
According to Muntinlupa City Health Office, at least 511 residents received their COVID-19 jab during the launching of the vaccination hub at SM Center Muntinlupa while 216 were vaccinated at Ayala Malls South Park.
As of April 28, a total of 22,960 Muntinlupa residents were inoculated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, of which 18,796 received Sinovac and 4,164 inoculated with AstraZeneca. While 832 residents from priority groups received their second dose.

Fresnedi urges residents who are members of the priority groups to get their COVID-19 jab as it helps prevent the risk of severe illness, hospitalizations, and death from COVID-19. He also noted that the vaccination program is an integral component of realizing economic recovery in the city.
Community vaccination sites in the barangays will continue to accommodate other residents from different priority groups. The schedule in barangay vaccination centers will be posted in the City Government of Muntinlupa Facebook Page.

Muntinlupa City has 10,959 confirmed cases with 9,465 recoveries, 1,205 active cases, 289 reported deaths, 172 suspect cases, and 926 probable cases as of April 29.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi appealed to city residents to avail of the local vaccination program for them to have an added protection against the adverse effects of COVID-19 and in a bid to begin the local economic recovery.
Fresnedi urged residents who are members of the priority groups to get their COVID-19 jab as it helps prevent the risk of severe illness, hospitalizations, and death from COVID-19. He also noted that the vaccination program is an integral component of realizing economic recovery in the city.
“Hinihikayat ko po ang lahat ng Muntinlupeño na magpabakuna dahil bakuna ang solusyon sa pandemya. Kung gusto natin na bumalik sa normal ang buhay, protektado ang ating pamilya, at ligtas ang lahat, magparehistro na at magpabakuna,” Fresnedi said.
The local exec also encouraged city residents who are not yet registered in the city’s own COVID-19 Vaccination Registration System to sign-up through www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac.
Further, the City Government opened yesterday its second major vaccination hub at SM Center Muntinlupa Open Parking Area in Brgy. Tunasan for members of A2 (Senior Citizens) and A3 (Persons with Comorbidities) priority groups.
SM Supermalls has begun its multi-mall vaccination drive in partnership with various LGUs nationwide to be the venue for their COVID-19 vaccination program.
The major vaccination hub in SM Center Muntinlupa can accommodate up to 500 residents from Brgy. Tunasan and Brgy. Poblacion per schedule. Residents from A2-A3 categories will receive a text message for their assigned schedule. Additional major vaccination hubs in other local malls will be installed in the coming weeks.
On April 24, the City Government has opened the first major vaccination hub in Ayala Malls South Park, Brgy. Alabang. According to Muntinlupa City Health Office, at least 216 were vaccinated during the launching of the city’s first major vaccination hub.
