As Muntinlupa City prepares for the vaccination rollout for children aged 5-11 years old, the City Government has recorded more than 9,600 children from the age group pre-registered in the city’s database.

At least 9,653 children aged 5-11 years old are pre-registered in Muntinlupa’s COVID-19 vaccination program as of January 30, according to the City Health Office (CHO). Of the total, 1,025 are from the pediatric A3 group, or those with co-morbidities, and 8,628 are from the rest of the pediatric population.

Muntinlupa CHO acting chief Dr. Juancho Bunyi said the city will have two (2) vaccination sites for the 5-11 years old: Laguerta Health Center in Brgy. Tunasan and Ospital ng Muntinlupa in Brgy. Alabang.

Bunyi noted that the target population for the age group is around 68,000. The local health officer also advised the public to wait for further advisory from the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) for vaccination schedules.

As part of the Phase 1 implementation, the national government will be launching the pilot vaccination rollout for children aged 5-11 years old on February 4 in the following sites: Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital, Manila Zoo, SM North EDSA (Skydome), and Fil Oil Gym in San Juan City.

The Phase 2 of the rollout will include expansion in the NCR and other regions.

Last December 23, the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved EUA for Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5 to 11 years old.

Children aged 5-11 years old shall receive a 10 microgram/dose concentrate of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and the second dose shall be given three weeks after the first dose to complete the vaccination course.

Muntinlupa residents may be pre-registered online through the city’s COVID-19 vaccination registration system www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac. The public may choose the category “Pediatric A3 (5-11 yrs. old)” for those with co-morbidities and category “Pediatric/Rest of the Pediatric Population (5-11 yrs. old)” for well-child population or those without co-morbidities.

Meanwhile, for the 12-17 age group, the local government has inoculated at least 34,562 minors as of January 30. This translates to 62% of the age group’s target population.

Further, as of January 30, at least 474,309 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the city or 124% of the target. Of the total, 412,932 were fully vaccinated or 108% of the target. At least 66,353 received their booster shot.

To date, Muntinlupa City has 38,489 confirmed cases with 37,352 recoveries, 538 active cases, 599 reported deaths, 0 suspect case, and 252 probable cases.

The COVID-19 situation is getting worse at the moment here in the Philippines and Metro Manila is literally the hot spot of new infections. As the City of Parañaque launched news rules targeting the unvaccinated people and the local businesses within their jurisdiction, the COVID-19 vaccine registration process for younger minors (aged 5 to 11) in the City of Muntinlupa was officially launched according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

The Muntinlupa City government launched the registration for COVID-19 vaccination of minors aged 5 to 11 years old.

Included in the registration are 5-to-11-year-olds with and without comorbidities. The registration was launched to make a master list of kids for vaccination while the city government is awaiting final guidelines from the Department of Health (DOH).

According to the Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO), a total of 260 minors aged 5 to 11 have registered for vaccination to date.

Former Food and Drug Administration Director General Eric Domingo announced last Dec. 23 that the agency approved the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to be used for 5 to 11-year-olds.

He said the National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF) and the Department of Health (DOH) were planning to roll out the vaccination of 5 to 11-year-olds as early as January but it would depend on the supply.

“It will depend if they have already ordered or if they have already secured [supply], already bought supplies for the vaccine for children and if they are ready to roll out. The plan is really as early as January,” he said.

According to Domingo, Pfizer applied for the EUA for 5 to 11 years old at the end of November, saying, “This vaccine is already being used in children in many countries such as the US, in Europe and in Canada and upon the review of the technical documents and the evaluation of the US FDA recommendations, our experts have found that data submitted is sufficient for the EUA approval.”

“It is reasonable to believe that the vaccine may be effective to prevent COVID-19 and the benefits of vaccination outweigh the known and potential risks.”

The dosage that will be administered to minors aged 5 to 11 years old will be lower than those given to adults and 12 to 17 years old.

As the Omicron variant keeps on distracting people and spreading fear as it gets magnified by the secular, liberal news outlets every day, the City Government of Muntinlupa scored another milestone as the grand total number of local patients who got fully vaccinated (injected with two doses of most COVID-19 vaccines) reached almost 364,000, according to a Manila Bulletin news report.

Nearly 364,000 individuals are now fully vaccinated in Muntinlupa, according to the city government.

Latest tally as of Dec. 12 showed that 363,688 persons have been fully vaccinated or 94 percent of the target population of 385,725, which is 70 percent of the estimated total population of Muntinlupa of 551,036.

By barangay, Alabang has 53,841 fully vaccinated individuals; Ayala Alabang, 16,670; Bayanan 23,813; Buli, 10,384; Cupang, 41,931; Poblacion, 63,866; Putatan, 58,845; Sucat, 32,211; and Tunasan, 42,925. A total of 19,202 fully vaccinated individuals are classified as “others.”

In addition, 10,519 individuals have been administered booster shots in Muntinlupa as of Dec. 12.

Meanwhile, the number of fully vaccinated minors aged 12 to 17 in Muntinlupa has reached more than 16,000.

As of Dec. 12, a total of 16,743 minors have received the second dose of the vaccine and are now fully vaccinated, representing 30 percent of the total population of 55,391 for the age group.

A total of 27,432 minors got their first dose or 49.5 percent of the 12 to 17-year-old population in the city.

Since the local vaccination program for minors (aged 12 to 17-years-old) of Muntinlupa City first started, the number has grown to over 27,000 minors locally according to a recent Manila Bulletin news report. That figure, accurate as of December 4, 2021, is almost half the total qualified local minors of the city.

According to the Muntinlupa COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac), as of Dec. 4, a total of 27,161 minors received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or 49 percent of the estimated population of 55,391 for the age group in the city.

Of the total, 10,899 minors are fully vaccinated, equivalent to 20 percent of the total population of 12-to-17-year-olds and 40 percent of those who got the first dose. The Muntinlupa City government started vaccinating minors aged 12 to 17 last Oct. 25.

A total of 41,727 minors have registered for vaccination with MunCoVac or 75 percent of the estimated population for the minor age group. Of the total, 2,721 or 6.5 percent have comorbidities and are classified as Pediatric A3, and 39,006 or 93.5 percent are without.

The country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines for use in people 12 years and above.

According to the Department of Health, the comorbidities eligible for the Pediatric A3 vaccination are medical complexity, genetic conditions, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, HIV infection, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, renal disorders, hepatobiliary diseases and immunocompromised state due to disease or treatment.

Residents of Muntinlupa City who remain unregistered and unvaccinated should make a move to get registered by learning the ways to do it. Those who are prepared (with personal information available) and willing to go through online registration for the free vaccines in Muntinlupa are encouraged to click https://vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac/

The City Government of Muntinlupa, through the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac), announced that the city already administered a total of 733,219 vaccines and has inoculated more than 100% of the target population as of November 19.

MunCoVac posted in its Facebook page that 402,013 Muntinlupeños (104.2% of target) have been vaccinated with at least one dose while 355,565 (87% of the target) have been fully vaccinated.

Of the total number of individuals vaccinated, at least 17,521 (first dose) and 10,659 (second dose) were inoculated in Muntinlupa private companies.

Meanwhile, MunCoVac continues to encourage those who haven’t received their vaccine yet to register online.

“Vaccination is still ongoing. Kindly register at vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac/ to get your protection against COVID-19,” MunCoVac stated.

Further, at least 247 health care workers in Muntinlupa have received their COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, while 18,320 minors aged 12-17 have been inoculated as of November 21.

The City Government started administering booster shots for medical health workers in various vaccination sites last November 19. Medical frontliners in Muntinlupa were inoculated for their booster shot at Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun), SM Center Muntinlupa, Ayala Malls South Park, Sucat Health Center, and Cupang Health Center.

Local health workers are requested to bring their original vaccination card and a valid ID in the vaccination sites. While for immunocompromised members of the A1 category, they shall present a medical certificate indicating their comorbidities.

Those residing in Muntinlupa and were vaccinated in other cities are encouraged to register online thru vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac to receive a schedule for their booster shot in the city.

Meanwhile, a total of 18,320 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given to minors aged 12 to 17 years old in Muntinlupa as of November 21. Of the total, 17,773 minors received their first dose and 547 got their second dose, making them fully vaccinated. The total vaccinated are equivalent to 33 percent of the total population of 55,391 of minors 12 to 17 years old in the city.

As of November 21, a total of 33,662 minors have registered with MunCoVac or 61 percent of the total population for the age group in the city. Out of the total registrants, 2,449 or 7 percent have comorbidities and are classified as Pediatric A3, and 31,213 or 93 percent are classified as “well children.”

Muntinlupa City has 27,584 confirmed cases with 26,939 recoveries, 70 active cases, 578 reported deaths, 28 suspect cases, and 411 probable cases.

The Muntinlupa City government said it has vaccinated more than 5,600 minors aged 12 to 17 years old.

As of Nov. 8, a total of 5,648 minors with and without comorbidities have received their first dose of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine.

The total is 10.2 percent of the estimated 55,391 population of 12 to 17 years old in Muntinlupa.

By percentage by barangay to date, Putatan has the highest vaccination rate at 17 percent (1,765 vaccinated) followed by Tunasan, 15 percent (921), Bayanan, 14 percent (558); Alabang, 8 percent (560); Sucat and Cupang, 7 percent each (379 and 390, respectively); Poblacion, 6 percent (777); Ayala Alabang, 4 percent (115); and Buli, 2 percent (33).

The city government said as of Nov. 8, a total of 22,665 minors aged 12 to 17 years old have registered with the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program, or 41 percent of the total population for the age group.

The vaccination sites for minors in Muntinlupa are the Ospital ng Muntinlupa for those with comorbidities and SM Center Muntinlupa, Ayala Malls South Park, New Cupang Health Center and Sucat covered court for “well children” or those without comorbidities.

Comorbidities eligible for the Pediatric A3 vaccination are medical complexity, genetic conditions, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, HIV infection, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, renal disorders, hepatobiliary diseases and immunocompromised state due to disease or treatment.

The City Government of Muntinlupa has officially started inoculating minors aged 12-17 years old with co-morbidities two days ago at the city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) in Alabang.

Joining the pilot pediatric vaccination at OsMun include Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, DOH-NCR Asst. Regional Director and NTF Consultant Dr. Maria Paz Corrales, OsMun director Edwin Dimatatac, City Health Officer Dr. Juancho Bunyi, and Coun. Allan Camilon.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi urges parents and guardians to register their children to the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) as protection from the adverse effect of COVID-19.

The City Government of Muntinlupa has started inoculating minors aged 12-17 years old with co-morbidities on Monday, October 25, at the city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) in Alabang. A 17 year old female resident with allergic rhinitis and asthma was the first pediatric A3 vaccine recipient in Muntinlupa. Joining the pilot pediatric vaccination at OsMun include Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi (3rd from right), DOH-NCR Asst. A 17-year-old female resident with allergic rhinitis and asthma was the first pediatric A3 vaccine recipient in Muntinlupa.

As of Oct. 25, the City Government received vaccination registration from 14,896 minors including 555 who are with co-morbidities.

Co-morbidities eligible for the Pediatric A3 vaccination are as follows: Medical complexity, Genetic conditions, Neurologic conditions, Metabolic/endocrine diseases, Cardiovascular diseases, Obesity, HIV Infection, Tuberculosis, Chronic Respiratory Diseases, Renal Disorders, Hepatobiliary Diseases, and Immunocompromised state due to disease or treatment.

To date, Pfizer and Moderna are the only vaccines with emergency use authorization for 12 to 17 years old issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration to be used for the Pediatric A3 population.

City residents may register online through MunCoVac vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac to receive a schedule. After receiving their schedule, vaccine recipients with their parents or guardians should proceed to the OsMun vaccination site.

A medical certification given by the attending pediatrician/physician detailing the comorbidity of the vaccine recipient shall be secured prior to the vaccination schedule and shall be presented in the registration area during the vaccination schedule.

Parents or guardians should also present a valid ID and proof of filiation such as birth certificate.

OsMun was selected by the national government as one of the hospitals for the second phase of the vaccination of minors, classified as Pediatric A3 group, which started on Oct. 22.

Other hospitals to accommodate pediatric vaccination against COVID-19 under the second phase of vaccination of minors include Caloocan City Medical Center (North and South), Ospital ng Malabon, Navotas City Hospital, Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital, Marikina Sports Complex which is near Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, Quezon City General Hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center-Quezon City, Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Makati, SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Site which is near Mandaluyong City Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Ospital ng Parañaque 1, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, and Pasay City General Hospital. While St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City in Taguig will also cater to vaccinees from the Municipality of Pateros.

Meanwhile, around 92 percent of Muntinlupa’s target population have already been vaccinated, translating to more than 640,000 vaccines administered.

MunCoVac reported that as of Oct. 22, the City Government has administered a total of 646,730 vaccines. 353,490 individuals have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine or 91.6% of the target, while 297,599 individuals or 77.2% of the target have been fully vaccinated. Of the total number of vaccinated individuals, at least 15,394 (first dose) and 5,474 (second dose) were inoculated in Muntinlupa private companies.

The target population to be vaccinated in Muntinlupa is 385,725 individuals or 70% of 551,036 Muntinlupa’s estimated population for 2020.

As of October 24, Muntinlupa City has 27,208 confirmed cases with 26,387 recoveries, 257 active cases, 564 reported deaths, 139 suspect cases, and 871 probable cases.

This past weekend MunCoVac, the team dedicated on COVID-19 vaccination under the City Government of Muntinlupa, announced through social media that there are almost three hundred thousand individuals who got fully vaccinated (note: 2 doses of most COVID-19 vaccines or one dose of the single-dose Janssen vaccine) based on their statistics accurate as of October 22, 2021. To be more specific, the fully vaccinated patients count is at 297,599. Check out the official image below…

Muntinlupa City has administered a total of 646,730 vaccines as of October 22.

91.6% of the target population of Muntinlupeños have been vaccinated with at least one dose while 77.2% have been fully vaccinated.

As always, please make your vaccination schedule a priority. It takes a lot of people, planning, and logistics to make sure you get vaccinated.

With more than 77% of the target population fully vaccinated, things are looking promising for social and economic recovery in Muntinlupa City. The next challenge, of course, is to fully vaccinate even more people in accordance to the overall population of the city (as opposed to the target population). The numbers should go higher as slowly more minors (aged 12 to 17) in the city are getting vaccinated for COVID-19.

Residents of Muntinlupa City who remain unregistered and unvaccinated should make a move to get registered by learning the ways to do it. Those who are prepared (with personal information available) and willing to go through online registration for the free vaccines in Muntinlupa are encouraged to click https://vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac/

Muntinlupa minors may register online through the city’s COVID-19 vaccination registration system at www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac and choose category “C – Rest of Population.”

Recently MunCoVac, the team dedicated on COVID-19 vaccination under the City Government of Muntinlupa, announced that more than 288,000 individuals in the city have been fully vaccinated as they published the latest city vaccination statistics showing that over 625,000 vaccines were administered as of October 15, 2021. Muntinlupa City has administered a total of 625,205 vaccines as of October 15.

88.5% of the target population of Muntinlupeños have been vaccinated with at least one dose while 74.7% have been fully vaccinated.

As always, please make your vaccination schedule a priority. It takes a lot of people, planning, and logistics to make sure you get vaccinated.

With roughly 75% of the target population fully vaccinated, things are looking promising for social and economic recovery in Muntinlupa City. The next challenge, of course, is to fully vaccinate even more people in accordance to the overall population of the city. Already a lot of minors in Muntinlupa City got registered for COVID-19 vaccines. For those of you who missed out on the news, the whole of Metro Manila is now under Alert Level 3 of quarantine control and that means a lot of businesses – including cinemas – were allowed to reopen which is key to economic recovery. Having a large number of fully vaccinated residents is key to ensuring economic recovery will happen.

COVID-19 Crisis: Over 550,000 vaccinations in Muntinlupa City registered

This past weekend the City Government of Muntinlupa announced through its MunCoVac team that it has administered more than 550,000 vaccines as of September 17, 2021.

To put things in perspective, the following statistics released by MunCoVac were recorded as of September 17, 2021:

Total number of individuals vaccinated: 324,690 (note: 12,916 of these were vaccinated in Muntinlupa private companies)

Total number of individuals fully vaccinated: 233,866 (note: 723 of these were vaccinated with in Muntinlupa private companies)

Declared total of vaccines administered: 554,197

According to MunCoVac: 554,197 vaccines have been administered in our city as of yesterday, September 17. 84.2% have had their first dose, while 60.6% of our target population have been fully vaccinated.

As we are nearing the end of the 3rd quarter of this year, we ask all Muntinlupeños to continue following our health protocols, and, go to your assigned vaccination schedule once you have received a text from MunCoVac.

As before, these latest numbers from MunCoVac do not add up. 324,690 plus 233,866 equals 558,556. There is a discrepancy of 4,359.
