The Muntinlupa Public Employment Service Office announced recently that a “mass activation” of delivery riders will be organized by the local government with Grab Philippines on December 1 to 4, 2020 at Colegio de Muntinlupa, Brgy. Sucat.
In a Facebook post, PESO – Muntinlupa invited interested applicants from the city to participate in the mass activation of Grab Food and Grab Express Delivery applications as part of the City Government’s ‘Deliver to Recover Program’ with the ride-hailing app company.

The City Government will assist displaced workers and public transportation drivers in the city that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with their Grab application.
Further, a stimulus package amounting to P7,500 which include Grab uniforms, food insulated box, P2,500 worth of e-wallet credit, and P2,500 cash assistance as initial cash revolving fund will be given to qualified applicants.
Muntinlupa City is the only LGU-partner of Grab Philippines in Metro Manila to include a stimulus package for its beneficiaries.
Interested applicants are advised to register online via PESO Muntinlupa Facebook Page or link http://bit.ly/MuntiGrab prior the scheduled mass activation.
Current Grab riders and those with pending applications are disqualified from the program.

On November 6, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi led the launching of the ‘Deliver to Recover’ livelihood program and awarding of packages to first batch beneficiaries with Congressman Ruffy Biazon and Grab Philippines execs Jackson Tan and Jeanine Tadique.
The City Government entered into a partnership with Grab Philippines for the registration of 500 city residents who have lost their jobs during the community quarantine, including returning OFWs, to the delivery service company.
“We recognize the challenges faced by Muntinlupa residents whose livelihoods were affected by the lockdown and we will continue to assist them through various socio-economic projects,” Fresnedi said.
Recently, the local exec led the distribution of stimulus package to another seven beneficiaries last November 25 at Muntinlupa City Hall. Joining Mayor Fresnedi in the awarding of packages to second batch beneficiaries were City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela, PESO – Muntinlupa chief Glenda Aniñon and other members of the city’s economic cluster.
As of November 24, Muntinlupa City has 4,570 confirmed cases with 4,856 recoveries, 42 active cases, 158 reported deaths, 37 suspect cases, and 190 probable cases.
